Very nice so far. You picked a good suit to try, most of the WOW models are not very anatomy-friendly if you know what I mean...LOL.
How did you get the model, if I may ask, or did you make it yourself?

Ewww... WoW armor. *Cringe* Haha, sorry. My love for realistically proportionate medieval armor gets me in trouble with Wowheads. Anyway, it looks like a good start, my friend. I wish you luck.

The Model is ripped with the World of Warcraft Model viewer but the original ingame model is not buildeble because most thinks are only texture so i have to model most by my own. I juse the original only as reference and try be as nearly as possible.
I´m not one of this "WoW nerds" but i think the armors and weapons are pretty cool*smile* and i wanna have a realy freaky costume vor carneval next year :D

And Thanks to everyone for the nice words

ah yes, teh joys of walking around in awesome aremour in public.
to be honest, i think that pepakuring the armour make be the wrong option. its obviously made up of lots of plates of armour, so maybey bending cardboard or foam may be more suitable, like most medievil armour.

Hey guys,
just a little update, I´ve finished the Uperbody model

Please everyone let me know what you think abou my Work

Great job on the modeling and pepping so far man. It's nice to see something different.

Just a couple quick questions Ironhide...
How do you rip models from the model viewer, and what 3d software are you using for the modeling? I just don't recognize the screen. I won't be able to do much work for a while because my computer succumbed to a virus today and not sure how I'm going to fix it.

A friend of mine plays wow and he gave me the instalationfiles and the Model Viewer. I've watched him a few times while playing and thought the armor and weapons are very nice. The modelviewer allows to save the selected model with textures and bones in different 3D formats. I work with 3d studio max 2009 (belongs to my roommate) and Milkshape 3D

If you are interested in the model viewer just PM me

Greetings Ironhide

I'm sorry but unfortunately I do not understand what you are trying to say. I (and Google translator) don´t know the word "sussed". I live in Germany and I am unfortunately not too well in English;-)

Looked it up on www.urbandictionary.com because I didn't know what it meant either. It means "figured out".

Looks good so far. One of my friends is a wow-a-holic and makes wow costumes all the time. Yours looks pretty nice. Keep up the good work!

I speak English and have no idea what is either. I'm about to start my own WoW models. I'll be doing Arthas' helm and Frostmorne. I like your stuff so far. Keep us posted.

Thanks to you people for the nice words that makes me very motivated. At the moment I am working on the first version of the shoulder, but I think they are scaled too large, but I will see.

This forum is just awesome, I think I fall in love with 405th. I never thought that someone could build such amazing things from paper.

The next trial, which I have now decided on, should be an Iron man Hulkbuster Armor, it would be just too awesome in this huge Armor to walk around. But for that I would only come to the 3D files. I'm trying to learn how to rip 3D models from Xbox 360 games

So people keep building amazing stuff ... heroes are not born ... they are built * Smile *

Hey guys ... and ladys,
I wanted to give a little update.
Yesterday I finished cuting out the Schoulders and today I´ve started to build together.

seems I was right and the shoulder plate is too large ... much too large: D

I also want to show how far I'm with the 3D modeling.

The chest plate is not turned out as I wanted so I will start a new trial.

Heros are not born ...
... they are build

As you can see quite clearly I have the shoulders scaled complett wrong.

I think I scale them down 30% for the next try. What do you think? 30% will be enough or should I still make it smaller? anyone have any ideas?
