DOOM (2016) Praetor Suit

Hi all, I haven't used this account or this website since 2017 but I'm finally nearing the end of another cosplay and wanted to post some progress pictures. Hoping to be done for AwesomeCon on March 8. I'll post some photos below for all the armor pieces I have done so far, I think I basically just have the helmet left and then I'm done!

Here are all the pieces I’ve finished including boots, thighs, torso, pauldrons, elbows, biceps, gloves, and parts of the helmet and forearms. All of this is freehand EVA foam except the arms and the helmet, for which I ripped the game files and made my own pepakura templates and transferred to EVA foam.

I finally got the pieces all together for a photo. I am not quite done but the convention I’m going to requires at least 50% completion and a photo of it in its most complete state so I laid it out on the floor. Aiming to be done by March 8.

Now that's wicked cool! I haven't seen the 2016 suit done in a good while, everyone either does the Eternal suit, or the classic 90s suit.

Finally finished the helmet. All foam, made my own pepakura templates and formed my own polycarbonate visor using 3d printed mold press.

Just realized I forgot to update everyone on the finished product. Presenting my finished Praetor Suit, along with my wife who did a couples cosplay with Isabelle from Animal Crossing!
