koshima07: Yeah, Emile was hardcore, but he was hardcore the way Shaun Merriman on the Chargers is hardcore. He's a jerk who gets the job done. And to NFL fans, no, it wouldn't surprise me to discover Emile was a drug user. And people keep saying that SIIs were supposed to bond with their suits, can anyone give hard evidence to back that up? I've read the novels, but I don't remember that part. The nature of their deployments mean they spend a lot of time in their armor, but they remove it as circumstances allow.
Sepharih: I actually like your idea! It might stay truest to the character and allow more "human", if you will, characters to do the emotional heavy-lifting. The only problem is that I still don't think people will care about a faceless "force of nature" the way they would about a normal character. He'd be a force, not a character you care about, which may or may not be a bad thing.
