Hey trooper,

I started my foam with $20. If thats the route you're wanting to go.

Almost have the boot done next to Foam is the Toe. Looked at the boots while playing Noble Actual. The boot plates need to be a bit bigger. Ruze sees this I hope he takes note of what I said but not in a bad way though.

Thanks, will do. Nice work so far. :)

This all I was able to finish tonight.
Used my hotkniofe, and I'll tell ya, FAST! Clean!
I cut out 35 pieces in 8 minutes and I wasn't even trying to go fast.

Enjoy the pics fellas, the boot should be perfect now.

Jester.... that is just SICK! Nice work man! Glad the hotknife worked out and it looks like you are just mowing thru this stuff! Looking forward to more updates... keep up the great work!

Trooper I hope you're ok from headsplosion! But get it ready for later on BecauseI haven't begun to apply my details to it just yet.
And thanks. What do you guys think of the Kevlar look on the Shin?

This stuff is soo much easier to go through (Than Pep) with the Hotknife. The back ankle of the boot was just an Idea i had.
Glad yo guys like. I'm going to have a paint test done on my Handplates this weekend from a Friend of mine whose worked with Hasbro. His 40k stuff has won Awards and He'd like to paint my suit.

I'm Getting roughly Two Pieces done a night. I think By next Weekend if everything goes ok and I have no Uber Fail moments in life I may just have a fully wearable suit.

I'll try to have some pics tonight or tomorrow.
Thanks for the Support Fellas.

Gimme till tomorrow, gota gather my head pieces, can't reach the piece behind the TV!, But dang, i gota look into a hot knife when i start, and the look on the shin is great, but take your time with it, no rush, at least not from what i am aware of.

I'm not rushing. I'm moving alot slower on this thanI do most of my Model kit builds.

But if you do decide to invest a few bucks ($10) into a hot knife, by all means go for it, but wear a little mask and have plaenty of ventilation. This stuff Burning can hurt ya. Mark out all your pieces first too, then cut. It'll save on time and energy. Make sure you don't do what I did and forget yout left it plugged then grab it to put it away, very glad I didn't remove my gloves!

So far I've used about 3 1/4 sheets of the 2' by 2' foot foam mats.
A helmet may take about a mat and a half.

Curious, Is anyone else watching my build?

hey jester :p this build looks good, just i don't think it is a good thing your shin fits so snug.. any one can grow in hieght, muscle or fat so what i do is i keep the pieces fitting, but not tight, and i add padding untill it fits. you can take away or add more padding to fit your needs but it sucks to have to rebuild becuase you grew/shrunk :).

oh, and also, are you desinging the pieces yourslef (using reference pics counts as doing it yourself :p) or printing out pepakura files? i drew my own blueprints and i really like telling people "yep, it's all freehand" *cue uplifting music* it was really fun too, sitting infront of the tv on our, i must say, very comfy couch watching Mythbusters blow stuff up and drawing blueprints, cutting out blueprints and transfereing blueprints onto foam, much much funner than pepakura :)

Well I'm 6'4" with my boots and about 285-300lbs. I'm 24, I think I'm done growing, lol.
And Actually they're only snug with the jeans on. Just didn't want to flash the world some more pics of my legs.
The fit I get from them is like a dream come true!

Now, I am using some pieces from pep, but about half of them are freehand and cut. When Foaming the shins, I kept running into a problem on the back of the calf and nothing I did would look right. So I instead fused the Calf and achilles section of the shin. Which means no extra 1/2" (inch) ridge. I think the Shin Files I'm using are Rhinocs (Jorge Shin). and the Boot Files are Ruze's.

Thanks for taking notice. really means alot from you.

what are you think of for your under armor? extra detailed bluerealm-like undersuit or just a morphsuit or something? (god, morphsuits are fun, i wear mine to alot of parties, it gets the girls :) hawt gurls!) for my odst i'm going with the reach odst under armor: kahki long sleeved shirt/pants. i don't know where to get them, but i'll worry about that later. the way you are describing the armor's current fit is snug, but comfortable, and a tiny bit tight when wearing jeans, so you should definitley not get a boiler suit, unless you find a way to make it fit ( :)good luck) and all the morphsuit-looking undersuits (with open bellies) i have seen don't look too fab..

anyway, do what you think looks good :) (maybe a foam undersuit? lol, another four pack (of foam), here i come!!)

I was thinking of doing a foam undersuit, using 1/4 inch foam, or possibly ask thor if I could see how he made his.

I'm going to be combing A set or black long Johns and set of Under armor. I may try to go with a Bluerealm I dea, using leather and a few other details.

If you're talking about the "Bullfrog's", I'd say go with Aussie Military Desert BDUs or if you can get them Go with some US military DIGI Desert cami's. It'll give you a relaxed fit and still look great.
