MC6/Socom (Halo 3 ODST pistol)

[thread=39212]BACK[/thread]

Well I started my pistol, after getting fed up with my helmet lol. Since swimming it's been hard to dedicate time to the helmet, and doing any resin/bondo/fibreglass (I have no idea what I'm talking about btw. I have never used any of the mentioned materials.) is probably not something to do in cold weather. So I figured I'll get my models ready for the warmer seasons. I'm sorry I don't have a better picture, but I printed out a slice file.

Planned Features:

  • [ ]Removable clip. (Stays in via magnets)
  • [ ]Glowing lights in the back.
  • [ ]Flashlight
  • [ ]Laser dot sight
  • [ ]The ability to cock the gun.
  • [ ]Blowback action with "Firing".
  • [ ]Muzzle flash.
  • [ ]Magnetic holstering. (Neodymium, the most annoying material on the planet to work with.)

*I cut the slices onto boxes that I got through ordering from Amazon.com. The thing is, that the box's thickness is not the same as like every other cardboard box I can ever get my hands on. So now I have to wait for another Amazon order to come it to finish the LAST TWO LAYERS of the pistol. Ugh.

*It also has a removable clip!!!

Give up already?

Aha, well I'd be lying if I told you that I haven't thought about it. I can't get my hands on anything like fiberglass resin simply because my parents won't let me, which I understand.

I also hadn't looked at the website ever since they updated the version of vBulletin, because it broke all my links on the page. But now it's back to normal, thankfully.

I had started paper-mache work on the helmet, but I broke my collarbone, so working on the helmet is a bit hard to do, especially with all the small spaces I have to cover.

I don't plan to stop working on it, but I see now that it will not be done by Halloween next year. Well, that's alright.

I've started now, no point in stopping.

When my collarbone heals, (Which should be soon, btw!) I hope to continue work.

But it's going to take me a horribly long time, with or without injuries.

Maybe it really shouldn't be taking this long, but the only person I'm really doing this for is me anyways. So I plan to take as long as I want.

I don't want to rush it.
