Well Kasper, you didn't have to wait long! I got the mold for the handplates all done and the first pull is out! The glove mold for the Carter shoulder is done, the jacket mold will have to wait until Monday, its after dark and cold outside. Once it is done and I get a pull out we will offer them in the classifieds section. Also an update from XtremeTactics, he is our weapons specialist on this build, and is getting his start on the new MA37(AR) and the DMR. As you all know his cardboard scratch building skills are phenomenal. He will be updating here as he makes progress, so watch with a keen eye, more good things to come!!

The grey is the master, you can see some of the primer released onto the mold and is in the first pull. Susequent pull and clean. They came out very nice, I am super happy with the result!!

Well, I promised a Monday update, so here you go!! I got the jacket mold done on the Carter shoulder and the first pull done. The mold turned out great, its much easier than trying to do the helmet. So heres the pics:

Well, its time for an update!! For those of you that remember, the same week my LT helm was featured in WIP of the week, Kasper also had a shoulder sculpt featured. For those of you that don't remember his wip link is here. Well, Kasper sent the Emile shoulder to me, and I got it on Monday. I got it cleaned up, I sharped up and evened out the lines sanded for what seemed like ages and got it nice and smooth. That night I got the silicon mold done and then Tuesday I got the mother mold wrapped up. Its a one piece, with some large registration keys. And then yesterday I got the first pull done, and will keep it as the new master. I got the original painted in its base, I did Rustoleum black as a base, then misted over with red, then knocked it down with a dry brush, light mist of black, knocked it down with the dry brush, and then misted red again one more time, and knocked it down. Next comes the masking and the grey/silver with the weathering. So until that gets done, here are some pics to tide you over!

Oh, and I also finished up painting the carter shoulder. I used the same base colors as the LT, with a little lighter weather than I did on the LT. Check the Carter and Emile side by side!

Yes, I use Dragon Skin 10 Fast for my molds. I got about a quarter inch thick over the whole thing. The first layer is kinda tough to do thin with the fast set. I will buy some medium soon for the print layer, so it is easier to put on thin and eliminate bubbles. It can be done with the fast, but its tough, cuz you have to be well, fast. It is great stuff though, really resilient and flexible, if a bit expensive.

I also got the paint done on the Emile shoulder. Here's some pics:

I used lotion to mask off the wear spots, it worked alright, I want to try syrup next time. I tried to mimic as much of the wear as I could with the reference.

Hey everybody,

As Brandon had said before, I will be the weapons specialist for this project. I have gotten started on both the DMR and MA37 Assault Rifle. Here’s my progress thus far.

keep up the good work ever one this will be like a big pool of armor builders

Hey Xtreme. I noticed you haven't quite finished the back half of the AR on your blueprints.

If it helps, I used these screens from the ViDoc for my blueprints on my nerf conversion.

Hope it helps.

EDIT: the ejection port is only on the RIGHT side of the weapon. Not the left as the screens suggest.
