It's been a while since I was last here...I'll have to fix that. Since then it looks like you have done allot of amazing work. You pep looks great and you resin skills look great as well. As to the paint, well awesome seems to come the closest. All-in-all awesome work.

thank you all for the kind words! i'm really trying to make this as best as i can, so any ideas, criticisms, critiques, anything are welcome! the weather was amazing here today, so i got some work done!!

i'm going to try to make the helmet as realistic as possible, i might take a LONG time on it, just to get all the details done perfect. i have been looking at all of the pictures i can to try and get as many ideas as possible for the helmet. sanding and bondo work i love, so i have no problem spending a lot of time on that. as for the pepping... not a fan. more updates to come!

Looking good there buddy. lol Well maybe ill send you my stuff to sand and bondo, i would rather pep the stuff lol. Bondo is not my friend. But maybe now that cereal has his videos out i will try some of his "Cearal Sculpting" lol

thank you man! and sounds like a plan if i get you to pep my stuff! and ill have to take a look at his videos then! always wanting to learn something new! here's my progress for today. got the visor cut out, and tomorrow, if weather forbids, i will begin fiberglassing under the rondo. for the slurry i used in this one i used a body filler with fiberglass strands in it, and its really strong already. i can put about half of my weight on it, and for a two hundred pound guy and only two coats of rondo that's pretty good, right?

Was it the green bondo that you used? yeah that stuff is strong as heck lol.
Helmet looks good. What are your plans for the visor, sorry if i missed you mentioning this earlier.

it is the greenish blue Rust Check brand bondo... i use all of their stuff except the sealer/spot putty. as for the visor, i have a plan, and i beleive i've seen it on here before, but i think i'm going to use a gold mirrored visor instead of the stock ODST blue.

so i started sanding today, and it's getting smooth. i'm really working sections on this one, just to get a better end result.

i'll be doing more soon, but i am extremely sick right now. hoping to get more done soon

your build is looking great andrew! keep up the good work. i am printing out my mark vi MC currently and gonna do a whole build. have fun with the bondo work lol, iff to finish my nephews cheesy mark vi, he won't notice detail so i can get away with it on this one :/

thank you hyper and sonny! sounds like a pretty straightforwards build, i hope it turns out good for you! and thank you mstruvmgc, i've started feeling a tad better today, the meds just make it worse first and then start working... full effects to be starting up soon!
i'm thinking about casting the helmet when it's done. i'm making it as close as posible to this...

i plan on doing a lot of "cereal sculpting" on this helmet and making a ODST heavy (dutch) variant on one of the molds

as i said, cereal sculpting dave has many ideas and methods that i wouldent have thought of myself, and i plan on really putting them into play to get this helmet just perfect. the little black marks are the areas i plan on smoothing further due to miniscule dents/gouges.

would anyone be interested in a mold if i do mold it? i hear it can be pretty expensive to do, so before i get my mind set on it i would like to see if it is worth it... hope you all like it so far!

Im glad to hear the meds are starting to work buddy.
Yay im not the only one useing "cereal sculpting" lol We need to get that pattened for him.
anyways, the helmet is looking really good. I wouldnt mind a mold of this bad boy just depends on how much and what not. It would save me the trouble of making one lol

got some real good work done today....

and then the OCD and yet somewhat impatient me threw on a coat of primer to see what needs more work on what i have completed so far. i plan on doing even more sculpting, adding the air vents on the sides, such and such

i'm really proud of the work i have done on the helmet thus far, and i'm hoping the extra work im putting into it really pays off... i'm loving it!

got 'er almost finished... i just need to grab the dark grey spray paint, and paint over the most of the black, and add in some small details! i'll add my tutorial for battle damage in a little bit here too....

i'm really proud of how it turned out, i just really need to do an amazing job on the paint now to bring it to life...
and i just realised... 100 POSTS!!!!
