looks good . isaw in that one pitcure you animated in an index. if you go to the halo costuming wiki they have a link to print out a pepakura index. I had made one myself and it turned out great.
Oh yes! I was planning on making one, even lit up with LEDs.

The detail you have on it looks really good. I like it. THe back would definately seem like the hardest to do since you don't see too many shots of Cortana's back. But there is that ONE shot towards the end of H3 when Master Chief is in that ship and you get a shot of Cortana's back for a brief moment. I actually have a screenshot of that moment.
I have thought about doing Cortana as well, BUT I wanted to take a much different approach and probably one that would require A LOT of guts and I would need a really good artist..........I wanted to actually PAINT myself and not wear any type of bodysuit. XD Of course I would have some sort of clothing for the obvious places, (duh!) lol, but I doubt I will ever get to try this since I do not know of any other artist around me that can paint really good.
Thank you! Yeah, funny story about the back of the suit. when I was rushing to get this finished for the Halo Wars release, all I had were partial views of the back, so I improved most of what you see. Then, a few weeks later, I found out that you can search through screenshots on bungie.net (hey, I had a n00b moment, lol). *facepalm* So I was just glad that what I did was pretty accurate.
Oh wow, that would be really awesome! But yeah, you'd have to have a REALLY good artist to assist you, or else it just wouldn't look right. That, and you would only be able to go to cons that would reach temps of 75 or more, lol. But if you do ever attempt that, I wish you the best of luck! and I wants pics.

I am looking forward to seeing the finished costume, it should be amazing.
@HaloGoddess You could always take the approach they used for Mystique on X-men and use blue paint and strategically glued pieces of prosthetic appliance. That would indeed take guts.
It's almost done! I'm a little behind schedule, but nothing to worry about.

Around about when Halo3 was released there was a European video game site that did just that and painted a model blue with latex applique where you would expect it to be. And from what I understand about the various body paints out there all you really need to get the desired affect is a steady hand.
I remember that. To be honest, for the money and everything that they had at their disposal, they didn't do all that great of a job. The markings were all inaccurate, the model's bodyshape was all wrong, and I heard somewhere that they actually didn't really paint her blue, they just added the blue tint in Photoshop. :/
*More UPDATES!!*
So I did another makeup test last night, this time with all my REALLY nice makeup, and it turned out so much better than before! (please mind I didn't do everything I plan to do for GenCon, there's a few minor things I skipped) And I SWEAR there is NO shopping in the after pic, that's exactly what it looks like, and wow my eyes are really blue! O__O

And a few more pics. I have to say that those fake lashes make all the difference:
And I got my latex chest piece last Thursday! The guy I ordered it from was so nice and very prompt. Here's a few lulzy pics of what it looks like:
I plan to glue the fabric of my suit directly to the latex piece, to give off the nude body appearance. After that, I will be adding the coding lines.
So that's about it for tonight, I have ALOT to get done tomorrow besides my Cortana cosplay, then we leave for Indianapolis on Tues!
