Hey everyone!

Thought I should introduce myself as I suspect I will be on the forum quite a bit for the next few weeks... nay months!

My name is Ian, I am 26 years strong reporting from Meadow Vista in northern California, and am finally getting started on the project I have been looking forward to for years.

I am a Honda motorcycle technician by trade and a habitual tinkerer by passion.

Screen name is my common identification throughout different forums and was derived from 'JetFire', my favorite character from Transformers show when I was growing up and 'RR'... Race Replica... motorcycles. End of mystery!

The Halo series has always been a strong passion of mine; a passion which I assume is shared amongst the 405th forum members, and I have finally found the means (TIME!) to explore the ins and outs of everything Halo.

Truth be told, 'Forward unto Dawn' got my Halo blood flowing again and haven't looked back since. Luckily, I am proudly supported my my longtime girlfriend who's only request was: "can I help?!"... if that isn't true love right?

Anyhow, I kinda jumped in feet first with the armor construction starting with the pep files, didn't know the first thing about scaling the files to suit my build (6'4" 215lbs) and proceeded to assemble the pep before I came to the realization: "this ain't 'gonna fit!"...

So, guess who's lucky (5'9" 125lbs) girlfriend it will fit? She's beyond ecstatic and I get to "practice" my construction methods before my set!

Since my little 'whoops' with scaling, I have been reading a lot of the information i.e. stickies and build threads found on the forum and have been learning quite a bit: love the info!

So I read that there is a limitation on when I can post new threads (outside of 'noobs' corner) so I will do my best to document through pictures and later words the progress of my builds for eventual posting. Until then I'll have to get some responses under my belt!

I decided to edit, since it looks kinda bare.

Who am I? Well.. I'm Becca. I love first person shooters, RPGs, and pretty much everything.

I am a jack of all trades, I suppose. Mediocre at all kinds of things, but not spectacularly good at any one thing. I currently have a 1989 Toyota Supra that is my project car. I bought it a few years ago after the previous owner's son destroyed the engine, and it has been in the works since. Lots of suspension work, a new engine that now has to be replaced [I trusted the wrong person with it ] and all kinds of body/interior problems.

Working a job that pays 9 dollars an hour in combination with multiple moves across cities and dealing with my literal wreck of a truck has left me with little play money to work on the Supra and any prop/costume ideas but I refuse to give up.

Until now.

I've finally been able to save some money, so now I can start work on the car... AND start my journey down the wonderful road of prop making and eventually costumes and my own suit of armor :3

All my life I've been around people that build things. From fiberglass bath tubs, fiberglass and carbon fiber body kits for supercars, to completely custom rat rods [frame and all] and chicken coops [lol], I've seen them made and I've always wanted to try my hand at it [yes.. all of it]. Ambitious, no?

Hi guys. Thought I'd take this time to introduce myself.

Name is Andrew, just joined. I'm a 46 yr old kid.
My profession is building aircraft test simulators.
I enjoy trying to play guitar, oil painting, RC helicopters, etc, etc and now pepakura. Waaay too many other hobbies.
I'm a wood worker by trade. Also have some electrical background. Love to take old stuff and new stuff apart to see how it works.
Found out about your site purely by accident(looking up pepakura), which was also an accident. Liked what I saw and decided to join to learn more, all roads seeemed to lead to here.

Thought I would jump right into the fire, I got the viewer and the designer, downloaded a HD master chief helmet. Now I'm putting that together.
