Any help/ideas to correct this helmet before fiberglass?

I was just wondering if anyone had an Idea how I can patch this during or before the fiberglass phase. I had some issues and cutting this small square out seemed to be the only way to keep the whole thing from becoming deformed.

Well, one "quick fix" would simply be to cut another piece of cardstock to fit the hole, either trimming it to fit exactly or using a slightly larger piece just to blanket over the hole entirely. All in all that would probably be the easiest method. Otherwise, you'd have to basically try to do the same thing with the fiberglass itself after hardening the helmet, and without something to brace and conform the cloth to the desired shape, you'll just end up with something saggy and warped looking anyway.
