Centurion build

How do you get the curves in your foam surfaces without creasing the rubber mat? Do you have a way to angle cut the back of the foam that allows the edges to match as well as you do cos it looks really good how you've done it.. This might persuade me to go for foam with my suit also. at the mo I'm using polyester resin and Kevlar and lexan

purpuk, you do just as you described.....a back cut to bend the foam...then you glue it in to place. It is a very easy method. Sometimes you want that crease......but to soften it as I did.....I added a layer of Craft foam on top. Not only did it soften the curve, it concealed any imperfection in the EVA foam. I got a bad batch of EVA and to fix that would have taken a lot of time.....Foam is easier to work with.....easy to correct mistakes.......and much more comfortable to wear. However Pep/Fiberglass has much more detail than foam could ever get....and is more durable. The price overall is still comparable. Why Kevlar.......are you planning on making a suit for air-soft?

I've been working on a super high tech electrical idea that would have Einstein fold up his hadron collider and go home. Only thing is a hard hat and plastic goggles just won't cut it in my world. Inside my lid is fine aluminium in fireproof aircraft resin.Using full rebreather gear too in a jorge torso.
