Thanks for all the info so far :) but i was planning to use the vacume formed helmet as a mold to make a stronger one.

I was planning to use a couple of hair-dryers (and friends) to try and "push" the plastic into hard crevasses.

Currently working on the smoothed recon helmet. Going to finish the pepakura today and also get the resin :)

Roadkiller, I live in the UK. At my local airsoft field the ONLY rule that concerns cloths are that you have suitable eye wear. It doesn't matter in any way if the helmet fails because normally I go with just the standard cheap glasses/ goggles. I have also taken a spray of BB's across the face...

OK, I do get that this is not going to be easy, but it IS possible. Also airsoft BB's are powerful, but they arnt as powerful as some of you think. When testing its strength it couldn't shoot through that boxing tape (the brown one)
