    Emile Armor Build

At the 405th we try to say everything in a nice fashion. Beyond that, please do not necro-post (post on any threads that are "dead" so that they come back to the front page) because it clutters the forum.

*The Official* Halo Reach Pepakura Files Thread

I am sorry, but I am not sure if anyone can understand you. What do you want help with? For someone to make a Reach jet-pack pep file?

just wondering what you guys use.........

This is completely true. Blender is a great freeware 3D modeling program. After you develop the ability and want a premium modeling program, I would go with Autodesk's 3DS Max, but it costs a few thousand.

Halo 3 Marine Helm Pep Build

Suggestions You need to use the URL of the picture, not the facebook page that hosts the picture: It looks pretty nice. The top has been dented in. You should see if there is anything that you could do about that, or you can just use bondo after you have fiberglassed the helmet. It also...

3D models for Fan Film NEEDED

I have a good deal of experience with After Effects and have done a few commissions for clients. I would definitely suggest using After Effects because I have created a really good looking Dragon Ball Z kamehameha blast that can easily become the lasers for a all of the covenant weapons, but for...

Immortal King from World of Warcraft

Your computer has set Pepakura Viewer to be the default program when it comes to .pdo files. If you want to open them in Designer you can either right click the file and specify what program to open it up with, or open up Designer and in the software go to File: Open and find your file.

To get an idea of certain processes...

I believe I don't understand your question because if you were to ask, then I would say; however, you claimed, but the following is exactly how everyone here on this forum "Make[s] it [Them]self"

    Pepakura Requests

It is more like Photoshop. The use for code is so non-existent that you can model something with only a mouse, but the use of short-cuts makes modeling faster. I would suggest that you go ahead and grab a freeware like Blender and hit the tutorials.

Hey, you posted on my Mark VI thread and I noticed that you are in Sandy. I am living on campus at BYU right now, so we are about 20 minutes from each other. That is pretty exciting in my opinion. Is your friend Srath47 also from Sandy?

Props any tips for hardening weapons

Awesome noble 1. Could you please also include what brand/type of expanding foam you used, I would greatly appreciate that!

To get an idea of certain processes...

One might either scratch build the helmet itself, or possible model it in a 3D modeling program so that it could be turned into .pdo and made using card stock and fiberglass. Then for any of the glowing portions, place some clear/slightly opaque material (plastic) and use either LEDs or EL wire...

Just the begining of my suit

Yeah. Honestly, because of your punctuation I didn't even bother to read what you posted until ventrue quoted you. On a more pertinent note, your helmet pep looks very nice. The face is very sharp and smooth. The side vents' angles could be a little sharper so try pinching those in to...

    Pepakura Requests

I have a quick response. It depends. But on a more serious note, there are many variables. It depends on the difficulty of the geometry, the poly count, and the skill of the modeler. An easy model with a low poly count can take someone with a moderate modeling ability just one day. If you want...

Props any tips for hardening weapons

This was actually very beneficial to me. I did not know that bondo and resin were the same thing and that rondo was aptly names because of the combination. Even more importantly you posted a mini-tutorial, so now I feel confident in doing it myself. Thank you.

best place to start on pepping on chest piece

I appreciate that. Also, each step I mentioned were done about one each day, spanning almost an entire week. So I am pretty sure that method will work pretty nicely, but go with whatever seems more natural to you.
