    Elite Costume Project

A fellow Elite eh? Awesome, and you will prob finish your costume before me since I keep getting new projects tossed in front of it. So..... 1. Actually, the Elites still do have their digitigrade legs all the way through Halo 3. As seen below, every Elite in the picture except the Arbiter...

    jack of blades

I dunno if I'll be any help, seeing as you're apparently passing time 'til you can resin.... Try one of those generic Jason masks. Looks like all you'd need to do is bondo over the holes, then resin the whole thing over once or twice. ....but as I said, dunno if it'll be much help. If...

    Props Making the Hyabusa katana

Why!?! Why do you always have to add that little snippy part at the end of your posts! Anyway, I'll move on for the sake of the rest of your post. (I'm assuming that was meant to say "back-talk chat mods"...) Cool Dragon Sword, but again with the steel not being allowed into a convention...

    Props Making the Hyabusa katana

Actually, yes you can make a mold for just about $50, and since the supplier is on my usual trip to NYC, there's no extra costs for transportation or shipping. o_O Advice, not snappy remarks. o_O Just like some people put in thousands of dollars to craft their costumes, there are also people...

    Props Making the Hyabusa katana

When you break it down to the simple factors, a $300 sword will look almost as cool as a $3000 sword in basic shape and design. Also, since all the parts will be made of the same material, you're sacrificing the balancing capability anyway. As far as structural integrity is concerned, it's...

    Props Making the Hyabusa katana

Whoa, I come back from work and all of you replied! I love this site :D Okie doke, yeah...con-legal is the key here, so stainless swords don't work (otherwise, my gf has about 8 I could use). Spase: Love the video....forgot all about it. I think you found a winner there, so I'm gonna go...

    Props Making the Hyabusa katana

So my awesome friend is going to let me make a mold of his $300 Japanese katana. Problem is, I don't know how to make a two piece mold of something that thin and long. Anyone have any ideas? If it helps clarify things, we've removed the tsuka and tsuba already....we're molding each piece...

    HELP WITH ARMOUR PLEEAAASE !!! !!! !!!

Not true, and a *very* bad idea to tell a newbie this. Clay modeling takes forever, and requires skills that the average joe just can't come up with out of thin air. Plus SpartanMjolnir, have you seen some of the pep helmets flying around here? Yes....the "best" helmets came from clay, but...

How do I convert .pdo to Inventor files?

Yay! Simple answers are the best :D ....yet sadly, it wasn't what I wished I would hear :p Oh well, I had a feeling I'd be modeling my own anyway. Better get back to my file then; I have a lot of work ahead of me.

How do I convert .pdo to Inventor files?

    1. Not my CNC. I'd be using my connection with a software technician to use a couple of the older units. May be a bit of a wait, but I have time. Eventually I wanna buy a 3D printer, but not aaaaaaanytime soon. Yeah....I know the prices of such things O_o 2. If I had access to the files in...

How do I convert .pdo to Inventor files?

So I've done some searching on google and the forums, but all I can come up with is how to convert *to* pepakura format. Is there a way to take a pep file and convert it to something like a .ipt that I can use in Autodesk Inventor? I want to modify a file for more detail, then hopefully get my...

    Props Energy Sword

It actually looks like the Halo 3 one. I'm very familiar with the differences, and you can tell by the way both endcaps look. The H2 one is flatter at each end, while this one does a nice curve.
