A good resource to use if you plan on doing foam is using AndrewDFT on youtube. Here's two I made from him, the first his design the second one is with heavy mods, can't wait to see what you come up with ^^

For mine I used a Mars black, this can be found at Michaels as one of the acrylic paints. I started off by doing two coats of black, followed by two coats of red for the strip, and a coat of silver to help display damage. Hope this helps!
