Ladies and gentlemen of the 405th Cosplay Division, I proudly present the new desert op kryptek and tiger pattern that is Vasily Beloi’s armory, providing two kryptek M7 C SMG’s and one SOCOM M6 Pistol, in these photos I present the process of what was done onto these beautiful props, for the most part one SMG, was from a maker in Florida, but another was made by a maker in Texas known as FORGEBunker on Etsy, who provided me with one M6 SOCOM that ODST’s use frequently, and one M7-CL, as it is a custom M7 custom large, something that a Spartan would use, this was a tricky situation for me as I am normally used to dealing with a kit that is normally put together, but the special kit that was given to me from Texas was a DIY(Do It Yourself) Kit, was more than challenging, for the most part before I begin this summary, I want to personally thank my collaborators Rabbit, a ODST Who’s a crackshot with a Stanchion Gauss rifle, my personal teacher and mentor in the 405th known as Mr. negative, and someone I’ve known for almost a decade now, ScarletOkami, who have all given me great ideas towards what I should do with my props for comicon, for the M7-LC, Rabbit recommended that I try to sand down everything but yet, as I found out the hard way, the material that I bought was hollow, and already sanded down, and when I tried to repeat the process it was difficult to repair it but in the end, I was able to make due with gorilla glue and black paint/primer, I somehow miraculously filled the hole that I made and repaired the SMG, but as for the entire kit? Paint wise I used a stencil kit I got off of Amazon, which is dirt cheap by the way, from there? Black primer paint, on top of that? Clear coat protective paint to add an additional layer of protection, on top of that? Camouflage khaki brand paint on top of a few more layers of clear coating paint, to make sure that the additional drop and scuff doesn’t damage the gear on the first drop, for the M6 Socom Pistol traditionally used in Halo 3 ODST, I did something entirely different than what I’ve ever done, I did a whole layer of khaki paint, added a layer of clear coating, then added a Earth Brown Tiger Pattern paint style to make things interesting and outside of the box, the whole process took a good 2 weeks as I am a man of impulse and safety, which was well rewarded, now please feast the eyes on what I have done, the muzzle attachments, which are the silencer and the compensator, are gorilla glued to a threaded stud, well sat mind you, are easily removable, as for the fore grip, which was also glued in, is a mobile movement, which means it can move from a folded grip to a fore-grip; from CQC moments(Close Quarter Combat) to a folded in grip for mid-long range combat, this is the armory which Desert Op ODST Vasily Beloi will be wielding amongst the 405th…Oorah
