I am currently in the midst of taking apart and modifying a buzz bee plasma blaster and I have a couple questions about modding it, pictures would be super helpful if you have them if you have. I have searched and haven't found specifically what I want.

what are people using to mount a maglite to the flashlight holder? I saw that one person said he used a toilet paper holder, but had no pics so i was wondering if anyone could elaborate on that or have any other ideas? Also, I am going to change out the barrell to a PVC pipe and I wanted to know what people do to fill the hole that is left behind by modding it, how do they plug it up ?

thanks

When I modded mine I didn't replace the flashlight that came built in, I just masked the lens and repainted it as well. I also didn't fill in the small gap between my modded barrel and the original gun.

I think it came out pretty well.

use bondo to plug up the whole I'd say, the bondo will also help anchor the pvc pipe. Also, mounting the flashlight I'd say some epoxy, caulk of some sort.

the hole will be pretty big so I dont think bondo would work, unless I just piled it in there and filled the whole thing.... ehh that in the end will probably be a good thing?

I was for sure going to change out the flashlight since I went out and bought it lol.... I have 2 blasters at home and one is going to be heavily modified and the other will be alright modified..

Bondo should be able to fill the gap since it uses a chemical reaction to cure, might be a little front heavy though. If you are worried about it just put the bondo in with multiple thinner applications and once it's cured add the next layer till you get it filled in like you want.

yes I was concerned about it being front heavy, but I think I could use epanding foam? that stuff weighs nothing, and then just cut it up and put some putty or bondo just on the top and sand it to desired shape? sound good?

now I just need to figure out how to mount my flashlight, if I could find a thick circular rubber grommet that it's size or a little smaller I should be able to get it in there pretty easily :)

Actually yeah, I think the expanding foam would work great with a bondo covering. I also did a quick search for others with a buzzbee mod and I'd suggest sending a PM to kahmaui, he replaced his stock light with his own flashlight.
