the 5.6 is nice and lite! Some of the L 2.8 stuff gets Heavy!

Ive got a 70-200 F2.8 IS and a 1.4 tele that Il pop on a 1D or 70D . stuff is Heavy!

I assume you have a mount adapter for your telescope ?

I use a different camera on the telescope. It's a thermoelectrically cooled CCD astro camera. But yes, I have an adaptor (T-Ring) if I wish to pop the DSLR on the back. I can also piggyback the DSLR and desired Canon lens on top of the telescope, utilising the telescope mount's tracking ability for long exposure.

Really nice,

I've got a Eos 7D with 15-85, for high quality shots I use my 50mm F1.4 or 70-200 F2.8 L IS II

I usually use the 70-200 for sport photography.
