Decent size update since i havent been posting for a few days since im remodling the brother in laws house for him... so on with the pic's ( and some are crappy cause of lighting)....first few are laying down the bondo work....



The next 4 pics are sanding and detailing the checks and chin area ( yes i know the nose guard is warped a little, fine cause itll get worked on in a few days)


and this is what i think of while sanding .....

Kudos on the helmet so far. You certainly seem to have the patience necessary to work with bondo; very nice, crisp lines!

The only thing I try to concentrate on while sanding is not sanding through the piece (which I may or may not have done at least once).

Beautiful bondo work! And using tape to hold the pieces wile the glue sets is a great idea. Im going to be keeping my eye on this

Well small update (big for me time wise) .... put some color on my Salmon colored brain bucket.....


would have shown more of the work done but got caught up in the work itself and getting it done instead of thinking. Anyways comments always welcome .. flamming will get you beaten by my wife..... and its not fun

Update time again.... worked on the chin today...got alot done and a few pics...



Finished that up and then did a wet sand over it .... looks really cool while its all glossy .....




And then it dries to look like this ....




Tomorrow plays like this .. fix small areas around the chin and visor area then resand .. glaze.. prime... find visors ... then read up on installation ... then fill in around visor.. then the fun part.. busting in some battle damage and a few splatter spots for effects..

Well ive done a little work to the helmet... ive gotten it to the part where im happy with it .. and just waiting for visor to show up... on wiht the Pics






Ive aded a little battle damage (destressing will come with the paint job) everything is primed and ready .... well long day ahead .... and many more helemets to build... next helmet is already printing so i have something to do while i await FEDcrud to show up

Very good artistically done damage effects. It looks sort of eerie without the paint effect, also.

UPDATE TIME:

Been awhile since i updated been busy working on the house and getting some work on the helmet done today.. so heres some pics..

First few are of the bucket base coated in metallic aluminum:


next ones are with destressing and Italian olive coating....



Did more destressing by adding in shades of copper , rust, chocolate, and more black wash will post pics tomorrow when the lighting is set up and right...

Well been a week or so since i posted and work has kept me busy... this is what ive been doing on lunch...


WARNING SMOKING IS BAD FOR YOU ....

and now some pics of what ive gotten done with the helmet... (btw visor i ordered can here Tuesday and opened up box to find 4 pieces..DAMN YOU FEDEX!)


its all painted up and waiting on a visor now.. destressed how i like it .. scratches nicks dings and high velocity round slag added....

This is my first go at Pep so remeber folks...

I have to say, for your first time, YOU ARE REALLY GOOD! I like how clean (the pep work) is. I would have a hard time distinguishing this from the best of them (but what do I know?) Great work. I'm subscribed!
