I'm just wondering before I get started on my first suit of armour, when making the helmets when in the process do you go about putting the visor in, and what do you have to do? Thanks

You should plan to install a faceplate in a very late stage of its development, most likely after painting it. The reason for this is that you wouldn't want to spend money (And it today's economy that's harder to do nowadays) on a faceplate and ruin it with bondo, resin, or paint because you installed it too early. Then again, you could install it, then cover it with masking tape or the like, but it is much easier when resining and other good stuff.

Welcome to the forums, Chiefy117.

Please avoid starting new threads dedicated to general questions.

If you are just starting out with this hobby the best suggestion I can give you, I apologize if you take offense since you didn't ask for it, is to read as much as you can. There are many ways to approach almost all aspects of armor building and the only way to get a true appreciation of them is to look through a multitude of build thread, help (sticky) threads, and tutorials. A good place to begin is Roadkiller's reading list (http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/30542-NOOB-reading-list).

Good luck with your project.

And chiefy since you new to the forums, you should check out this new recruit video, It explains how the site works and some of the first steps you should do now that your here
