Alright, my advanced drawing class has an assignment where we must illustrate at least 5 pictures (maximum is infinite) of a novel, music album, redrawing a kids book in your style or a story of your own.

I already knew I was going to choose Halo since thats my medium and expertise of my best drawings. The thing is I need characters (I got the main ones down but I need others that will appear in the story) And also I need a title I came up with several different titles which will be the name of the UNSC ship the story takes place on. Also put your Halo canon friendly characters in here as well and I will choose the ones that will be the best to be drawn and written.

Title names-

Halo-Triumphant

Halo-Versailles

Halo-Shield of London

Halo-Houston's Problem

Halo-Plains of Marathon

Halo-UNSC Dead Arm

Halo-UNSC uppercut

Halo-UNSC Boomstick

Although I haven't come up with the full story, the story is set 1 to 3 years after the end of Halo 3 where UNSC and Sangheili ships accompany each other in search of straggling covenant loyalist ships who are trying to still find other forerunner tech that can lead them to the surviving halos. As the UNSC ship finds straggling jiralhanae covenant ship slipspacing to an area even farther away from the Ark than Installation 01. The forerunner installation they find is a test firing ground for forerunner weapons and ships against the flood.... but guess what they left some targets in storage for the covenant loyalists to let loose upon the installation.

I personally think that "Halo - Houston's Problem" would be the title that best fits the plot of the story, especially if there was a character named Houston

do you want us to make up charaters or list you ones from the story?

If we are making up heres ones.

Seargent Maxwell Leon, commonly nicked named "Jaws" for his upclose tight fire fights. His luck out weighs his skill and his skill out weighs most marines. The nick name "Jaws" comes from the fact that everytime a marine sees Max in combat he is being held by the neck about to be bitten by one alien or another. However he often escapes the gorey death through luck of a grenade exploding behind him to his skill with fist to monsterious creature combat. Max prefers shotguns and assualt rilfes over any other weapon he has aviable to him. He also never trust grenades often saying "Those things are more tempermental than my mother." Max is also very interested in knifes and sharp objects that he uses in close combat. When Max cant properly weld a bayonet to his gun he will duck tape a knife or long pointy stick to his gun as a subsistue. Max also is so found of his bayonetted shotgun he named it "betsy" as from the old trusty cow.

BTW for the character submitting I would love for it to be neat and categorized and not a long paragragh I think I should have explained before.

Anyone? tomorrow I'm submitting my idea to the teacher so I believe I need a few characters before today ends.

Command Sergeant Major Samuel Whitney

ODST Marksman washout

In 2546, he joined the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper training program. Upon failing to pass, 2 months into the program, he was reassigned as a marksman in a Marine fireteam, stationed aboard the UNSC Frigate, Trite and True. After the Human-Covenant War, he was reassigned to the (Insert your ship name here).

Weapon Preference: BR-55, SRS-99 S2AM, M6, and all variants

Dislikes ODSTs with a passion, likely out of envy, except J. Askerson.

Sergeant James Askerson

ODST Commander

In 2546, he joined the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper training program. Graduating 12th in the class, he was placed in the 29th Shock Troops Battalion. He saw combat on several fronts, including Reach. Upon reaching Earth a year after the war was over, due to a long stream of slipspace jumps, in accordance with Cole Protocol, he was assigned to security duty at an ONI site. Six months ago, he was assigned to (Insert name here).

Weapon Preference: MA5, BR-55, M6, M7, and all variants; standard-issue combat knife

Wow, you're pretty good.

You know, the evolution from Mark IV to Mark VI has always made me wonder what a Mark VII would look like. Perhaps, this story can eventually lead into that. A sequel, you know? Kinda like the Chief receiving the Mark VI aboard Cairo at the beginning of Halo 2.

Anyway, keep up the good work. I love to see variants, and the one thing cooler than Spartans killing Elites is Spartans working with Elites.

Actually the beginning of the story is that spartan being called down to the armory to be fitted with the newest enhancements that were only given to SPARTANS that were apart of the MJOLNIR black prototype armor (Its in Halo Evolutions) But the 2 spartans in the story are given these new enhancements (it is 3 years after 2552 and ONI now has time to upgrade alot of their tech with forerunner enhancements) The new mark VI he is wearing is called MJOLNIR Mark VI F/S. F/S standing for Forerunner and Space enhancements.

//January 20th, 2555, On board Thoughtless Resolve orbiting unknown planet orbiting Keplar System//

The room was mostly silent except for the soft humming of the motors from the control panel, and only lit with iridescent blue of the hologram. The silence was finally broken by a low, raspy voice. "We've received a message from the High Council to follow the Brutes onto the planet and exterminate the fleet and all the ground forces" The voice was that of Nira, one of the highest ranked officers in the covenant army. The Assault Carrier's control room was illuminated by the purple tint of the lights surrounding it, and glowed violet on the elite's skin and armor.

"No offense Elite, but that will take too much time, time we do not have." said the humans' commanding officer, Patterberg scolded. Nira knew the human was right. If the scouting parties were spotted on the planet the Brutes could quickly escape his grasps. Nira clenched his fist and growled in disgust over the thought of the dirty Brutes escaping. Turning around to look at the image of the human captain he continued on. "Indeed Captain Patterberg, but the Brutes are surprisingly only fast at fleeing."Smirked Nira.

"I have a feelin' that those ugly bastards are going to show themselves." the Captain commented back with his own snarling smile, the lines of his face defined themselves a little more as the corner of his lips curled up. Nira had grown in admiration for the humans, they'd survived the covenant's genocide with honor and valor equal to those of his own kin, and for 25 years they had never surrendered.

"What we need to do is send down some of your special operation soldiers and I'll send down two of my Spartans, Nira." Patterberg suggested. A cold feeling crept up Nira's back, and he straightened himself up with this. Spartans, the humans ultimate weapons that slaughtered so many sangheili brethren in combat. It wasn't long ago that all of the covenant thought of them as unholy demons sent to stop the Great Journey, and in the end they did, but for a good reason. The thought of the unstoppable, enhanced humans being on his side eased the fear of them only for a short while.

Nira scratched his helmet as he contemplated Patterberg's plan. "Whad'ya say split chin?" Patterberg spat. "Let me think for a moment Patterberg!" Nira snorted in annoyance. Nira slowly sat down in the control room's gravity seat, and lowered his head. Nira didn't have any objections to the plan but wanted to appear to the human that he was thinking, they may be on the same side, but it doesn't mean he didn't have contempt for them.

Finally Nira spoke and lifted his face to the monitor, "Agreed, send your Spartans down first, and then I'll let my spec ops down to assist them in reconing the Brutes; this mission will happen tomorrow. When they spot and map out all the camps the cleansing will start." Patterberg's image nodded as Nira waved his hand over the hologram to end the transmission with the human. He slowly stood and rested himself on the chair as the blue light faded away. Suddenly the control doors opened and he heard foot steps. A minor entered the control room with his new, blue combat harness glittering in the violet and blue hues of the light. The minor was young and strong; spitting image of what Nira Farem used to be over 40 years ago.

The young elite hesitated in the doorway, and Nira could tell that he was nervous. Nira turned around and held out his hand. "Go on brother what is your message?" He nodded to the minor. The minor must have not heard him as he still was scoping out the control room like it was his first time, in

awe of the overwhelming authority of it.

"Your Excellence," He finally breathed, "I came here to ask you if I may join my spec op brothers in slaughtering the jiralhanae?" He asked nervously.

"How do you know of this operation minor!?" Nira asked in a furious tone.

"I overheard while I was traveling to the summit to repair a banshee."

The minor was still worried he might be punished for his stupidity rather then his bravery, and took several steps forward to try and hide his anxiety. Nira paused and examined the young recruit, looking him up and down while he stepped down from the gravity seat. Nira tried to be stern, but something in him still saw himself in the minor, and saw something special in the sangheili soldier.

"Tell me sangheili, what makes you more qualified than someone above you?" Nira sneered lowering his shoulders and raising his gaze. "What is it that you have to gain from all of this?" The minor fell silent, then breathed in and walked forward. "I have nothing to lose, and nothing to gain. I don't have any qualifications other than I know this is what I'm meant to do." Nira smirked. "You remind me of myself when I was younger. Young, dumb and eager to please, but most of all you have the thirst for adventure like I once had." Nira placed a hand on the minor's shoulder. "I will also give you a spec op harness, but do not say anything about this minor! I don't want all of our ranks thinking I'm too weak for my position as Fleet Admiral." Nira looked at his other energy sword. He gripped it and held it out to the minor. "Survive this operation and I will give you my blessing to promote you to major." The minor slowly walked up the steps to the Fleet admiral.

"I bestow my other energy sword as a good luck charm for you." Nira slowly let go of the hilt as it landed in the minor's hands. The minor gripped it as his eyes shined in awe of the holy weapon. "It brought me luck on more than one occasion, but I'm sure you won't need it." The minor glanced down towards the sword. "One more thing I must ask you Minor." Nira said.

"I will answer it with the best of my abilities my excellence" He knelt down in front of Nira.

"What is your name?" The sangheili lifted his head

"My name is Ilte' Arcod, and I won't fail you Fleet Admiral I promise you my life."

Pretty good, although a few of the Elite mannerisms weren't really captured. For example, "'Agreed, send your Spartans down first, and then I'll let my spec ops down to assist them in reconing the Brutes; this mission will happen tomorrow. When they spot and map out all the camps the cleansing will start.'" would have more accurately to an Elite's way of speaking, "'Agreed. Send your Spartans down, first, and I shall send my SpecOps troops to assist in the reconnaissance of the Brutes. This mission shall occur tomorrow. When they have spotted and mapped out the camps, the cleansing shall commence.'" Elites use much more stylized language, even if they've been shown human culture.

Other than that, not much I can really add. Just work on the mannerisms.

By the by, your name is Gary Cogdill? That's so weird. There's a movie reviewer here in D/FW, Texas, named Gary Cogill.

Wait... is that Tucker's kid?!?!?! "Blarg Chicka Honk Honk!" Lol! Nice job!

Actually I chose cyan color for the eyes just as a reference to the alien kid, chapter 2 a character in the story also has a redvsblue easter egg in it as well, Chapter 2 is finished but going through refinement.
