Putting together my own suit

Mostly using free files from thingiverse

For recycling purposes, using some foam clone trooper armor I made as a base, so won’t be 100% accurate.

Also incorporating some eternal elements for fun.

This started as a just for fun project and now it’s turned into a speed build because I’m going to try to wear it to a con next weekend

Instead of going through the full post processing of the prints, I’m using truck bed coating to help hide a lot of layer lines

Also, this is my first post here!

That's awesome, coming up real nice.
I have also got those same files and have printed, will need to make the base with the foam but mine is a fun project so i am not rushing lol

So this was going to be a fun, slow side project, ended up rushing through and completed it in about 3.5 weeks to bring it to a local convention.

Won a judges choice award in the contest

Congratulation on the award (y). It still baffles me on how quickly you got this done. I mean I started 1 years ago with my build and I am still not done . Well I probably go more into details and I do not work every day on it, but anyway.

Maybe I should just sign up for a cosplay con too so I have more time pressure to get it done by then ^^'

I guess I have found that in order to get anything done, I need to be crushed by a deadline.

I have been sitting on my stormtrooper kit since late september, in the last week I have made more progress than I have since I received it. Trying to get it together for a star wars night at a local baseball game.
