ok hahah I'll check those out, gotta wait till midnight due to limited internet, the only time download usage is unlimited. :/ Imagine trying to survive on the internet with 500 mb a day. haha it's hard :/ Love those and wanna make one for myself, just don't know how. I wanna make an awesome custom hilt. tried using the MHS, but the parts it requires also requires funds I do not have. haha.

Yeah, it's pricey. I have no expenses besides car insurance and gas right now, so i can afford it. I figured i better build as many as i can now (not really, but i don't hold back when i see one or design one that i like) Though as an engineer, i won't have any problems.

so do any of those videos explain how you do it? or do you have a video explaining how you do it? cause I really wanna make one lol at least a hilt for my fanfilms. BTW, if you wanna see my videos, my YouTube channel can be found here.

haha sorry dude sorry lol how you make your sabers from picking the right materials to wiring, etc.

I'm afraid it isn't that simple. months of research and planning just to build a warm up saber. You can't jump right into the complexity of mine.

oh haha pretty much jumpin straight into it then? lol just like this, gotta learn before you get any progress. But anyway, sorry for gettin your thread off track. :/

Don't worry about it. my last three days were spent making a chest piece that would fit a 12 year old. i'm off track already. it will take a miracle now.

oh man that sucks.. haha sorry dude, you know about HaloGoddess' scaling tut? hasn't failed me yet. :p

I scaled it correctly, but it started out the wrong size. in all of the tutorials that i have read, no one mentioned that the models would be different sizes.

yeah. I can't figure it out. it wasn't like it was off by 2 inches all the way around either. it was off by like 6" or more all the way around. nothing I could have done would have saved that. Working on a client saber right now. Then bondo, helm peping, more bondo, more helm peping, lifting, studying, peping, bed. Hopefully in that order.

okay, so arms are at 50% bondo. got 6 tubes of spot putty today. gonna have to bondo some more tomorrow, so hopefully I can get off work early. if I do get to bondo tomorrow, I should have the arms done being bondo'd this week. That would be a very nice way to finish the week.

Lol, i have 4 parts almost done being bondoed right now. Making the helmet, then gonna take another shot at the chest.

Pre bondo on forearm. i removed the elbowpads on the undersuit and cut out some foam on the back. not enougj, but it's a start. fitment looks perfect. M

No school tomorrow, test friday, test monday, speech the 15th. at this point i need to pep the helm and chest, resin, harden, and bondo them, finish bondoing the arms, find gloves, make the handplates, and paint it all up. a lot of work for 14 days, but i am hopeful.

Gonna work all day tomorrow on the armor and stay up late studying for the calc test. that's the only way everything fits. then gotta work sat and sunday morning, work on the armor in the afternoon and evening, and study late again for chem. gonna be a fun weekend. better go get some energy drinks.

its looking good keep at it. I do have one thought though maybe its the angle on the pic, but the shoulder looks big and the forearm small. Do you have full ability to flex in that shoulder piece.

Sorry to bring this up, but I agree with Pyronari that the shoulders are too big and the forearms are too small. They are out of proportion.

...Both the shoulder and forearm are the exact same scale, and any smaller on the bicep, and my arm won't fit through. I'm a pretty muscular guy. In fact, the chest won't fit with me wearing the 661 undersuit unless I take off the back padding. That's how big my chest is...

The shoulder and forecarms do not have to be same scale using Pepakura. You need to build them based on your scale, and if they look right. The problem may lie with the undersuit you are using. From what I can tell, it is too bulky. For example, you are trying to fit the shoulder through the undersuit, while disregarding the scale. You could scale the shoulder smaller, but extend the girth so you can fit through.

Otherwise, great work so far. Good luck with your build.

well, i won't be able to bend my arm very far using a smaller bicep. i barely fit inside of the bicep now, but i wouldn't be able to bend my arm past 120 degrees. the forearms will be remade after the speech. i just want something to show, and they are too far along my very short timeline to stop now. i really can't make the biceps much smaller. i have trouble bending my arm in the one i have.

Hopefully it lools okay with the whole suit. if not, i'm in trouble since there isn't an obvious solution in this case. also, this means that the last month of work is useless. the chest will be 1 cm smaller btw. can't go any more than that.

made the helmet smaller, and there is just no way. I have it about 3/4 done and it will take so much trimming afterward, that the look just isn't worth it. Plus, I won't have any room for padding, and I will be crammed for electronics space. I'm going full size on the helm just like the first one. I am reprinting the chest (slightly smaller than the first) and the helmet (full spartan size since I have a full spartan head) and in 5-6 days, I should have something worth all of the hard work.
