So I'm working on an elbow piece, and noticed that the side detail pieces were waaaay lower than the rest of the piece. I've tried looking at all the youtube videos I could, but was unable to figure out what to do. Am I suppose to put a thick layer of Bando over the rest of the piece to be able to make the detail? Or should I put a bunch on bondo on the inside and cut out the detail?

Si3rra makes a good point on the foam. Additionally, if the piece has some thickness to it you could probably dremmel out the detail.

You could use more bondo for that too. But adding details is just freehanding - you did half of the job by drawing the lines, now you either carve them with dremel tool and/or add some raised details.

Yes they are......but from what I hear, you didn't heed my advise.......strong hand, soft touch. How's that scratch?
