more updates, sure, i have stuck down the pieces that are finished which are seen in the pics above. i have also started painting latex onto them. this will take about 4 days to be finished as you have to do it layer by layer and wait for the previous one to dry.
i am starting to finish the main front of the gun, it does not have the weird fins at the front where the barrel is, mines solid at the moment but i will add to it when its been cast as these can be attached once the holes are drilled for the barrel and torch.
one side of the front piece still needs to be plastered and sanded down. for obvious reasons i can't take pictures of these as they are a mess at the moment and for one still drying. i use the scanner for a lot of my pics.
as for the smg, i will be making 2 types. 1 retracted as if duel wielding and 1 extended as if holding in both hands. when i make these, i will make the main body and back separately along with the front handle which is already fully carved and finished. this means that i will have all the pieces and can assemble them so that they are in both positions.
as with the assault rifle i will be selling the moulds, not sure on a price yet as neither of them are finished. i will keep the original casts and use them to advertise the moulds in the classified area once i work out how to get to it. all i can say for now is that i expect the assault rifle mould to be around £50 give or take a few and the smg mould to be around £30.
this will give you all the moulds required to make the full piece, full instructions and pictures to show you how to construct, neoprene sheeting pre cut to fit on the designated areas of the cast, an aluminium torch which fits into the front of the cast (assault rifle) and other essential items. this means you can use what ever medium you want for your cast. if i am correct another member saif that you could buy his moulds for about $300-$400. ok, they were very very accurate and may be made of silicon but you are getting a good shape and detail here for about a third of the lowest estimate above.
