So this is a follow up post because my old one is ancient and not updated: Here

I've got more in depth updates on my instagram, for the sake of brevity im not going to repost all that here, but its here if you're interested

I've been prepping it for about a year and a half for an eventual con debut, hopefully set for september with OZ Comic Con in Sydney. TLDR; for the other post, its a eva foam and pepakura mix with a 3d printed helmet. I've been working towards building it up slowly and incrementally between working on various other costumes, since its been a pain to put together ive sort of neglected it, but now its finally close to finishing so i thought I'd repost about it so i can show how its turned out so far

Okay, so Ill update this with some more photos when i can get around to it. Currently i'm trying to just catch up the post requirements for actually joining my regiment. (I've been in the forums for 3 years, and making stuff for 6) yes I know im lazy. So I'm going to do a very piece by piece post process of various parts of the suit, apologies in advance for any spam.

Alright, so I’ve mounted in a microphone to the helmet in order to use a voice amplifier attached to my belt. The voice amplifier is a garbage one I got off Amazon for 10aud. (The worse sounding the better). It ended up still sounding too good so I’ve filled it with sand and other non organic and non conductive things to add a bit of reverb and distortion

not super visible in this photo, but it’s on my belt around my waist, the cable runs through the torso and isn’t too noticeable, in future I might disguise or weather the box, but it isn’t enough of an eyesore to prioritise as of now

This test fit ended up peeling some of my boot sole apart, which is actually good. I would much rather it happen here than a con floor. I’m working on fixing that up and also padding the lower shins and upper boot because I’m getting a bunch of painful pinching whenever I step. Other than that, the suit seems pretty finished all around
