My sisters and I are cosplaying as Black Rock Shooter Characters, they are well knows for their big outrageous weapons. Well BRS is coming out with a game and the characters now have big armor pieces!?!

What materials would best be used for such big scale armor, would the cardstock techniques work? Keep in mind the design of the characters are more technologically advanced looking.

Please I need help and I so would appreciate it!

I would use layered foam for the armor and longer weapons, reinforced with solid supports inside (like how I make my shotguns) and for the big barrel weapons I would wrap 3mm foam over cardboard tubes with foam details and layered foam grips also reinforced. Any details or scrollwork can be burnt into the foam with a wood burning iron.
Are there any pep files for your items or is this going to be a scratch build?

Here's what you need to do to make these, don't worry you'll have loads of fun!
You need to make a duct tape dummy of each of you, then build the costumes up on the dummies using foam, try using EVA foam sleeping mats which are a bit more flexible than the normal stuff. Once you've glued them all up, give them two coats of liquid latex then dust them with talcum powder. Then paint em.

Its pretty much going to be a scratch build ill definitely post pictures when I have begun to build it! Thank you tho I appreciate the help, I was originally going to use foam but then I heard of sitra so I wasnt so sure! Im definitely going to try out the foam and see how it goes.
