You can also google for PosteRazer. Does the same thing but is downloadable. I use it sometimes. Both are nice programs.
 
It's probably cheaper, and higher quality to buy from cafepress.com than to use dull white paper and tape the pieces together, waste a whole tank of ink, then have to buy more which cost more than a printer itself.

EDIT: Actually, it comes to around 20 dollars on cafe press for a poster, still though, cheaper than buying ink, and higher quality than what your printer can print.
