I doubt it especially once we get up in that whole space thing. I bet there's gunna a whole "tighter clothes" look and/or jumpsuits.

I'll take my baggy cargos any day of the week. Comfy as hell with lots of storage space!

List of stuff I carry at all times:
-iPod
-Cellphone
-Multitool
-Headphones
-Zippo
-Pens
-2 knives and a razor blade
-Keys with a diesel screwlock carabiner holding them to my belt loop
-My Wallet

And I can carry all of these without them sticking out like 6 inches from my legs. Until a jumpsuit can do this without the assistance of webbing, I'm keeping these! :D

Why would anyone need to carry that with them all the time?

as for Blue Jeans.... they will still be there, even if its just the SCA wearing them. :D

Well in Contact Harvest, the uniforms had special thingy in it that when it is hit by training rounds, it freezes up. So the uniforms have some computer circuit in them.

And human armor hasn't changed either in over 3000 years, why should it change in the next 500? We layered animal leather over our bodies to protect us, then breastplates, and now we do the exact same thing but with better materials; we use ceramic plates rather than deer skin, but we are in no way using a new concept.

well, in 500 years they have energy shields. that's a rather new concept :p

Thats only because aliens attacked.

And we stole a jackal shield in Fall of Reach to get our shield system starting, correct?

should have used a spoiler, but yes. and why not where jeans in the future just remember to pull your pockets out (who can guess that one!)

Marines wear what appear to be pretty normal BDUs under their armor. Traxus workers wear jumpsuits very similar to the ones factory workers wear now. It may not be the most realistic representation of the evolution of clothing (and all these things are probably made of some novel material,) but everything else points to people still wearing blue jeans or something similar. If you're worried about it, just use non-denim cargos or something. that way you retain a certain level of ambiguity and avoid adding too much on top of canon.

What is Back to the Future Part II?
Anyways, I think that they would be worn. They're increadably comfotable, but toiugh enough for work. At the same time though they would probably be made of a better materail, (stronger, softer, longer lasting)

Jeans will be around for a while. They're practical, durable, and relatively cheap to make... as are cargo pants.

Another 500 years though... that's pushing it a bit I think.

I bet they're space jeans though... far more advanced than our jean.

Ye, like, they cant break, and they are, super comfy, and the pockets can store more than they can today, like, som shrinking stuff, so u can put large stuff into ur pockets, and it will shrink. That whoud be awsome.

master chief has space pants like that.. where do you think he keeps the 2 frags, plasma and the 2 3 foot long spike grenades hidden? not to mention the incendiary grenades and the 30 some odd magazines of ammunition for ballistics based weapons.
