Bondo : Us---> Europe

I looked up things in the 405th UK subforum but the UK site that offers what i want only ships to the United Kingdom, Not to Germany. I have found some bondo-like stuff but I don't know if this is the real deal because i don't know Bondo.

I have just heard from my Parents that wil will fly to the US in October for 2 Weeks, to Connecticut.

First Question: I read that Bondo Ships. Does it ship over the big pond?If it does, does it ship bondo?

Also, when I visit the US, is it cool if I put like half a gallon in my suitcase and just take it over? I mean we have a house there, I can let bondo ship it there, and then we can take it to germany. Will they let me? I know the Airports have some carayzy regulations in the United States.

i just want to once experience Bondo as all of you do

thanks already

Shipping Bondo could be problematic, as could clearing customs on the receiving end. You may be able to ship it by some other means than air, but it will take longer. As for putting a gallon of bondo in your suitcase that would be a NOGO. Bondo would be considered a hazardous material, but the real problem is the catalyst used to cure it. I'd just try to source body filler over there in Europe.

You want bondo shipped to you?
So you're telling us that NO ONE in the country you live in, uses any type of body filler or even does any type of automotive body work? Do body shops not exist in Europe?

I did look in my country, And there are loads of stuff here. and it works, too! I bought some.
I just want to once try the real deal if you know what I mean.
this won't be a permanent solution, just once. I will use german bondo but i also wanna try american.

I would also like to try the "American Bondo", but I am afraid that the shipping costs will be equal to the price for the Bondo Package.

Bondo is simply a trademark for a polyester body filler manufactured by 3M Corporation commonly available in the United States. Any polyester resin body filler should work just fine. Shipping this stuff overseas is probably not worth it due to the fact that it is considered HAZMAT.

Believe me Bondo brand products are FAR from "the real deal"

As far from the real deal as is possible. Bondo products are the absolute low end of auto body products.

If you want "the real deal" try finding some Evercoat products around where you live, Rage Gold or Zgrip

Both of those are 1000 times better than plain old bondo body filler, for not much more price wise.

honestly mate its not gonna be worth the hassel. just go with a brand you like or pick the cheapest out there to save money, it will all work out exactly the same in the end. a brand is just a name its probably all made in the same place anyway and shipped to different warhouses for each company

Ok if you all really think so...

At least order some body filler to where our house in CT is, and use bondo there for the two weeks. I could leave it there, too in the Garage

body filler is body filler nomater what bondo is just as type that is most commenly known in the states
even though that you want to try oour stuff you would be safe to just stick to you stuff so you don't have to worry about bondo bondo being sesed at the air port and stuff
