I use smooth-on rebound 25 for my molds. It is very tough and will not rip when demolding time and time again. Then for the casts I usually use smooth cast 300 and I slush cast the masks. The axe is a 2 part solid beast, once the parts are put together and sanded it has some weight and it just feels real. I'm going to the KC comic con in april with the complete costume and will post updates thereafter.

this stuff is just insane!
but i got a question about your molds, do you use Latex for molding or any other substance? i want to try some molding for myself with a deadeye helmet from halo 4.
i got some latex paste to use, but i wanted to know if this would work as well, and if it will come clean off. and do you just pour it into your boxxes?

Wow, I actually seen these forsale on eBay. Excellent job! When it comes to casting molds and things, i've never done it before. Can you use an eva foam mask that has been mod podged to cast a mold from it? If so, what would I buy to accomplish this?

I don't know if you could cast off of the mod podge I had an issue with a small detail resin piece where I used white glue to fill some of the excess holes and the silicone did not setup and was quite tacky unitl I let it air dry. And even after after the air dry it had a different texture. Happy accident and since then I actually used that technique on my axe to give it more of the distressed metal look.
