Will using van aken plastalina clay have the same result for molding as the chavante?
The data sheets for it say there is very little sulfur in it, which would be like 1 part per 1,000,000. It also said that the very small amaunt that may be present wont effect molding. Soooo, can i use it?

Well. Even if it's 1/100 000 I wouldn't risk my silicon on it. But I think Sulphur don't affect the cure of rubber, so simply use a different mold builder. ^^

You will need to use lacquer or shellac prior to applying the silicon. If you don’t it will react with the the RTV and prevent it from curing. It will be a mess so make sure you do a good job sealing the clay. If you do that you will be fine. Post some pic's.

I made a little Goro sculpture out of that same clay and of course, its still soft, but I painted it with tempera paint and its still standing.. And it was made around 1994-1995.
