Hello members of the 405th.
As a method to relieve myself of the boredom that is revision for January exams, I had a go at modelling the shoulder for War Machine, mainly using the Iron Man 2 trailer released last month.
Using a good Iron Man MkIII shoulder (sorry I can't remember who made it), I started to modify it, constantly referring to the few seconds in the trailer (MPC frame step, I love you), and I ended up with the resulting model.
You can tell this is my first time modelling (much better at unfolding pre-made models), due to the bad workmanship (wobbly edges, uneven troughs, etc), but I plan on getting better. And so I'm mainly looking for peoples opinions on the model.
Anyway, the best blender render is below, and so are the .blend and .obj files and I'm putting working on it, on a hiatus due to exam proximity - even though there are still quite a few bits on the model I need to get around to.
If people want to have a go at it and improve it, then go ahead as I'm not doing this purely for personal gain - I need practice, and there're no better critics than ones peers
.
