look ive been wondering how to make good card board weps ive seen a few of them but idk where to start like how do i go about printing out blue prints and so on and so on.

so i was wondering if someone could help guide me give me a few tips or whip together a quick tutorial.

well i make carboard weps and are pretty good at them :D but i dont use blueprints i just estimate or measure the gun by lookin at a spartan holding the wep then i kinda just cut out a flat piece and cut out another matching one but only cut out a flat piece half the way then after that determine how thick u want it to be then just kinda fill it in its hard to explain but its easy to do if u catch what im telling u ;)

I'm looking for punctuation in your last post, and I can't find any Halo Freak.

For the blueprints, you print them on multiple pages, and you glue them together (You cut the margins of each so it matches perfectly)

Most people build their weapons but using like 10 layers of cardboard one on top of the other.

i know what to do after you print it i just want to know how to print it on multiple pages, do you bring it into photoshop and print? do you use power point? or do you just view the image and press print?

lol sorry, but yea i agree with paradoxj , how do i view the pic before i open it so i know it will print out full size?.

I'll try to help you with whatever knowledge I have, though I beleive there are others out there who have more tips and tricks than I can offer, but I will certainly try my best.

The most important thing you must know is how to Layer the Cardboard, so the width is in proportion. And several parts are wider that other parts, you must take that into account. Look at the weapon of choice in Halo 3 to see which parts are wider or smaller, that should give you an idea. I will leave the printing of Blueprints to another member to explain, I can't help you there.

Another thing you must take into account are hollow parts (Magazine Feed, barrel hole, etc). Experiment with the layers, cut out the inner layers so they fit a magazine. Then cover the inner layers with one outer layer on each side, making the inside hollow. And you have to take into account angles, find a way to make the angles perfect.

I hope this helps.
