Clay Sculpting?

ok ive searched for about 10min on for a good thread about this but no luck.

the only thing some what helpful was this thread but it didnt go into that much detail and i kinda got confused

I want to see if i can make clay sculptures of armor and then pull some molds off them in the future but idk where to start.So im thinkin an oil based clay for the sculpt but im not sure if that can be used when trying to make a moold with the silicon,aslo i want to be aable to keep the sculpt until i have the material to mold it which would be a while.I know i need sculpting tools and i know i can get them at A.C. Moore but does anyone know if the clay i need is sold there?



i think thats it if i think of anything else ill be sure to post it any help would be greatly appreciated
