Hi this is Powning Oreo (also gamer tag) i was wondreing if 67 lb. cardstock is ok to build my armor out of? and this is my first time making it.

I personally use 110lb. card stock. 67lb. would work your model just wont be as rigid before you resin and fiberglass it and could have more of a potential to warp. Although you might have an easier time folding your pieces then i did.

67 lb paper has a better chance of warping, if you don't wanna risk it go out and buy 110lb cardstock paper.

definetly use 110lb cardstock for the model you plan on resining. I build the low detail model out of regular paper first and then use the 110lb cardstock for the high detail model. If you do build your model out of the 67lb cardstock and try to resin the model, it will most likely warp and there is a chance the resin might soak through and ruin your entire model.

In the end, it does not matter. I use 65lbs. Works fine for me, doesn't warp to much, nothing thats not fixable. Your first coat of resin has to be light regardless if you use 110. Your call.

I was reading in some of the tuts that you should go ahead and coat just the joints, where you glue tabs together, etc. and also do that in small sections. Doing that you can keep it from warping. After that, you can go ahead and fully coat the thing and then go for the second coat. If you're worried about the warping, I saw a couple of pep pics that had little supports on the inside to prevent it.

Also, let us know how the resining goes. I tried a pep with 65lb. and would be interested in ANY pointers.

i have used both. If you have already bought the 65 lb paper, just use it. it will warp a little on you. but 110 is much better

well i bought 2 67lb of 250 sheets but 12$ but i can go exchange it for the 110 with an extra 4 bucks no biggy glad i at least got some out look on it before i started
