Ok, so I've been working on the Power Rangers helmets for over a year now. I was 2 faces away from finishing the white helmet and the program crashes. 2 hours of work (today) to get it perfect, and it crashes. The crap doesn't end there. I try to open the saved file, and it won't open. It says the file is corrupt. I just opened it 2 hours ago. I tried opening it in notepad since it is a .obj file. Notepad won't open it either. If anyone can remember me uploading a wip file of this anywhere, can you please remind me where it was? I'm frustrated beyond belief. I've tried tons of file recovery programs and none of them are working. This is insane! I was almost finished!

When it happened I felt like this...

I know 3Ds Max does, and I can only imagine most other 3D programs have an auto-backup feature. Try browsing the program files for a folder labelled "autoback" or something. Might sort you out?

Milkshape doesn't have that feature. :( I guess I have to start over. At least I know my mesh flow, so it won't take as long to get back to where i was.
