Cosplaying on college campus

My friend who has a helldivers costume and me in my ODST armor want to go out on Halloween to our college campus and walk around for a bit. Is this a bad idea, and If my ODST has a prop pistol on its leg will that be a problem.
I guess I'm curious if anyone has worn their armor WITH WEAPONS out in public. I feel like the costume loses a lot without the weapons. Maybe just add an orange tip? thanks in advance for advice!

It is absolutely a bad idea to display or brandish any prop weapons, even with an orange tip, on a College Campus.

Halo Armor is Militaristic/Tactical looking, there is always the possibility of someone panicking and calling the police, even if you don't have a prop weapon with you, it is best to mitigate that by not bringing any prop weapon with you, and to contact Campus Security and tell them a head f time what you will be doing and approximately where.
