Except I haven't done it in a long time and most likely forgotten everything.
Fortunately foam is pretty inexpensive and we have plenty of tutorials and even more members who will happily offer advice and assistance along the way.


Practice makes perfect, as the saying goes. Start with something small, doesn't even have to be a costume piece. Just a cube, for example. Keep those blades sharp and just keep practicing with some scraps of foam and I'm sure you can get back into the groove in no time.
 
Just chiming in that no matter the costume, you're going to have to sew at least some components be it strapping or a garment to use as the base of the armour. A well rigged and fitted suit is the difference between T1 and T3 as Cadet has mentioned previously.
