Check your.... Flux Capacitor
The flux capacitor is definitely working, my car goes through different time periods but won't move through the present.

Seriously though, I tried uploading the video I made to YouTube and it's not doing anything. I sat back to watch the new episode of Top Gear while it uploaded and it's still going. What other free file sharing sites I can use?

EDIT: This is what my car is doing.

Top Gear Spoiler: For anyone who saw the show... I can't believe an Apollo (or even the CCX) is faster around the track than a Veyron.

NOTE: Before reading on through my post, keep in mind that I have no idea what I'm talkin about. I dont know how cars work or how they are put together under the hood, and I dont know the names of any of the doohickeys that make up a vehicle either.

I had a recent problem with my Ford Ranger that was KINDA like you problem, the only difference is that my truck wouldnt even give a little roar when you turned the key. After many failed attempts to figure it out on my own I had my truck towed to my ford dealer. What they found was my Transponder (or was it called Transformer?) got busted and I needed that to be replaced totally.... and only the ford dealer can fix it, unfortunately. i think Audi's have a Transthingy too....yep... iunno...i'll just stop now lol.

I just pulled out my Ranger's files (yes, im organized ^^) and it's actually called a Transducer. And without this thing working at 100% then your vehicle will never turn over.

i couldnt really tell from that video, but the engine IS turning over, its just not starting? being a ford, id say its the fuel pump. those 90's fords have a button in the trunk (or should) that should reset the fuel pump. a good way to tell if your pump is working is to turn your key all the way up, right before the start position, and listen to the trunk of your car for a electrical pump noise (sounds like humming maybe?) if you dont hear it, thats your problem...

Ok I just realised what the problem is..........

IT"S A FORD
That's not much help... I know Fords are crappy.

I really don't like any American car at all, I'm just glad I have something for the mean time.

that ford comment was a joke and if you look at my post in what kind of car I drive I drive a 98 ford escort zx2 I gave you all the advice I could give if you lived near me I would even come look at it for you, but alas I have no idea where you live.

hmm, to take a break from this Chevy/Ford dispute, have you considered the fuel pump solution? im pretty sure thats what your problem is...

Yeah, I have a decent knowledge of cars and that seems to be the most logical. I'll give it a shot tomorrow when I have some daylight and update if I find out anything.

As far as the 'dispute' goes, I think Dodge is the only good American car manufacturer... and even then, I think their only good car (meaning it's good on the track, in the city, and on the highway) is the Viper. Possible exception being Chevrolet's new ZR-1

amazing you have been told the fuel pump at least 5 times and you didnt check it today? changing a fuel pump is a pain in the butt in that car because you have to drop the fuel tank and remove it out of the top of the tank.

No, I woke up too late to check it (cats used my bed as a litter box last night and had to wash my sheets before I could sleep) and I would need my dad to help with that anyway.

look for the reset button, that will usually fix it without the pain of changing it... it should be behind the carpet somewhere in the trunk.

and I knew there was a reason I hate cats you just added a good one to my long list of eating sleeping and crapping pests I think the other worthless pet to have would be a bird,,,

The reset button is inside the trunk on the driver's side. You will need to pull off some of the carpeting

you may also want to check the relay for the fuel pump.

Something else to think about:

I don't know about Ford but GM cars of that era had a Clear Flood Mode where the injectors will not fire if the accelerator was floored while cranking. If the throttle position sensor is bad it may be sending a signal to the computer that the throttle is wide open. Try unplugging it and crank.

EDIT:
Nevermind. I saw your video and that's probably not it since it is running for a moment. Won't hurt to try though. Try starting fluid and see if it runs a bit longer. Not too much at a time though. Intake backfires suck.

EDIT: I did have a flat on my geo today though. That unlucky little tin box is going to the crusher when I finish school.

 made me choke a bit on my coffee!!

I couldn't find the fuel reset button. I did however find out that I forgot to check the center node on the distributor cap and it turns out the female end of it has rusted into dust (literally). If my mechanics are correct, that would give little to no spark in the spark plugs and therefore the missing link.

If I'm right, the Stig has looked down mercifully upon me :D
