Cricut & Pepakura

I paid $225 for the Expression,... it also can cut chipboard, which it doesnt appear craftrobo can,.. I was thinking using some of that instead of cardstock as it's less prone to warping in the wetting it down phase (resin'ing)

BTW no, SVG is the standard for which the Cricut programs import Vector Graphics (standard = only vector format they use)

so after spending the afternoon messing w/ teh CraftRobo Pep Viewer,.. I say woooo only slight issue I have is the cuts and very minutely off the line but its uniform so in the end I dont see it as much of an issue

I need to mess a bit more w/ the score depth but man after a little setup its quick, its light it works pretty simply,

the cricut is still an option, IF you already have one laying around (or access to it) or just deadset on not getting the Graphtec cutter, you'll just have to jump through a

few more hurdles but its do-able if anyone wants information on it I can pm you (cricut information)

not that it really matter,. but it keeps mentioning GraphTec/CR is British its actually Japanese hence why they most likely reached out and partnerd w/ Tamasoft, and A4's a standard there(nippon) too

its obvious that this thing does the job since your cutting pepakura parts. Would you say that's accurate?

so if I get a craftrobo. let's say I buy the 200 model, then get the viewer for craftrobo. The only issue is using US letter size paper and all I have to do is set the margins to fool it to thinking its A4 paper.

Then making sure all the pieces from a page stay in the margins.

So it's pretty much turn key after that?

the fooling part after getting it set up,.. (which if you follow what it says to do on mel's page) you'll be up an running in a few,... and go for the 330 model I've seen it as cheap as $220

Hi amancue, just wondering if you can send me some information on the Cricut. I have the machine and the "Make the Cut" software and have run into a few issues. When I convert the images to SVGs i'm getting errors when importing that the SVGs contain no data. I also tried to do a pixel trace in the software but then I have issues with the sizing and placement of the object. Any help would be appreciated.
