**Fabrication and Props Series**

-Filling in the Gaps: Making Props to Complete Your Character
From cheap hardware store finds to use of molds, our panelists will show you how to complete your look on any budget.

-Arm Yourself
Making armor and weapons with molds, vacuum form, fiberglass, and wonder flex; we'll cover past, present and future so whether you are Iron Man, a Jedi knight, Elizabethan knight, Samurai warrior, or a Predator, we can show you how to arm yourself.

-Molds for Every Costuming Occasion
Casting of heads, partials, props and other items to create the cool make up and costume pieces like those found in The Wolfman, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Predators.

**Make Up Series**

-Making Facial Appliances on a Budget
Zombie Land, The Wolfman, A Nightmare on Elm Street, V for Vendetta, Batman Dark Night... how to build super hero and Mardi Gras masks and do facial reshaping. This is not your typical molding and sculpting panel; rather, we're going to teach you the cheap and dirty versions. We're also covering the wearing and application of bought appliances.

-Glue, Glue, Glue!
Glues and adhesives for costumes and make-up (horns, moles, adhesives, body glues, gems, jewels, etc.)

-Body Painting
From dry brush to airbrush, natural colors to black light reactives , our experts are sharing it all with you. Glitter and gems, street wear vs stage, we've got tons of solutions to help you get your ideas onto your body. An airbrush demonstration is included.

**Logistics and Business Series**

-Starting and Running a Costume Business
So you think you've got what it takes to turn your passion into a profitable enterprise? Our experts talk about overhead, marketing and legal obligations in this open forum. Come see why even part time costuming can be very lucrative.

-Modeling Costumes
Fashion shows, contests, photographs… if you love costuming there will be opportunities for you to show off your wearable art. Our panelists discuss how to display your creation in the very best light.

-How to Modify, Alter, and/or Fit Bought Pieces
The name says it all. Does that Super Man or Cat Woman costume no longer fit? Does that military uniform look similar to what you want, but you don't know how to rework it to fit your vision? We've got the answers you seek. As a bonus, this panel also includes tips for setting up a sewing room/area (including costume storage.)

-Mascots and Body Morphing
Ever wonder how they make that Shrek costume or the characters you see at Disney World or Six Flags? Our expert will tell you how to make large costumes that are both amazing and functional.

-Disasters in Costuming
Mistakes they never saw coming: guests and audience alike talk about the stuff they've done that had hilariously disastrous results. Don't try this stuff at home.

-Dress Forms
What are the advantages of a purchased vs custom dress form? We'll discuss the differences along with ways to create your own. (Potential Workshop)

-How to Judge a Costume Contest: What Judges Are Looking For
Both contestants and judges alike may learn from master costuming judges; sharing what they look for when judging a costuming contest.

-From Concept to Working Model
How do you take something you saw, dreamed, or pulled out of thin air and make it work? We'll cover basic costume dissection, concept sketching, basic design issues (wearability and practicality,) use of commercially available sewing patterns, materials, and most importantly… how to start costuming!

**Components Series**

-Wigs and Hair Pieces
Whether Moulan Rouge is your thing or you're more of the Wolfman type, expert panelists discuss human hair vs. synthetic, how they're made and the wear and care of wigs, dreads, falls, and other head covering.

-Fetish Costumes
Latex, leather, lace... these show stoppers are sure attention getters, but they each are problematic in their own way. We'll take the pain out of working with these materials and hopefully inspire you to create your own fetish wear.

-Accessories
Shoes, jewelry, belts, holsters, pockets, vests... What to consider when completing your look and how to make them.

**Tech Series**

-Articulation: Objects in Motion
Legion wings that flap, tails that wave, articulated masks (think Predator)… string pulleys and retooling thrift finds to the advanced animatronics. (Potential Workshop)

-Light, Sound, and Special FX
Want to give your costumes a life of their own? Electronics, lights, sound effects, smoke and spark FX... even cooling systems... all will be discussed in this hour.

-Heroes and Spandex
Bring your favorite comic book hero to life. Let us show you how to keep spandex and other problem fabrics from making you cry.

**Themed Interests Series**

-Dawn Costuming: presented by the Dawn Contest Group
These look-a-likes discuss this characters popularity and various concepts in Dawn costuming.

-Fashion Show
We're teaming up with the Alternate History Track to bring you an amazing Fashion Show. More details coming soon.

**Mini Costume Exhibition**
In addition to our programming, we are pleased to announce the addition of a formal costume exhibit to be prominently displayed in the rear of the Costuming Track room. Behind the stanchions, visitors will find a variety of detailed costumes of every genre. To bring this unique exhibit to DragonCon, we need costumes.
