Dark Souls 3 Fallen Knight

Hello again! I decided to take a short break after crunching for planet comiccon but im ready to jump back in the saddle! After finishing my odst i wanted to take a break from halo and do something different, since the last non halo build ive worked on was all the way back in 2021. So, since the kc renfaire is a reasonable* amount of time away with no hard deadlines per say, i figured why not do a dark souls build? im pretty sure literally everyone's wanted their own set of knight armor at one point and ive been playing alot of the fromsoft games in my freetime with friends lately.

Im doing the Fallen knight set from dark souls 3, its the first set i think of when i hear ds3 (my favorite of the series) and the set itself just looks cool and decently comfortable, which after stomping around in the fully 3d printed odst, is one of my top priorities.
Im planning on using foam for the torso section to let me actually sit down without the risk of something snapping, and 3d printing the arms and helmet. Im also planning on making the ds3 Stormruler to go along with it, every knight needs a sword of course! which will also be a foam build, im also thinking that if i have time towards the end i may make an extra prop but for now thats the goal.

For the past few days ive been doing some research and gathering as much reference material as i can as the resources online that i currently have at my disposal feel a little sparse compared to whats on here for all of the halo stuff, so ill do my best to post those here if anyone else needs them as i go along with the build.
The main reference im going to be going off of is a 3d model posted Here, which seems to be fully accurate from my very professional comparisons.

Currently where im at with the build, my handplates, and the visor for the helmet are printed,

With the template for stormruler drawn. As of right now the ac is broken in my house so im letting everything print before i start to work on anything, though it should hopefully be fixed soon!

This is going to be awesome! I've always wanted a set of armor for ren faire and it never even occurred to me to just print one haha. I'll have to look into that. I'm already having ideas...

One of the most iconic DS armors, cannot wait to see this finished. Are you modeling the prints yourself? And will the helmet be fully detailed, or leave the back open/flat since it’ll be covered by the hood?

Forgot to put it in the main post, im using these files for the print which have been working pretty good so far. Im probably just gonna finish the helmet, just in case i ever wanna lower the hood!

apolo-cheese for the long wait for an update, my house JUST got back to sub 9 billion degrees and my printer was on the fritz for a time, but now im back with progress!

I just finished assembling my helmet so now i can move onto the shoulder armor. The files were a dream easy to slice and put together.

Ive also started with making Stormruler, its been a suuuuuuuuuper long time since ive dealt with foam, with it being the first time ive made a foam prop like this. I went with putting a wood dowel in the middle as opposed to something like a carbon fiber rod just because its what i had on hand. The sheets did come out pretty messy but im crossing my fingers that itll be more uniform after sanding.

Im using This model on sketchfab as my main reference for the sword. it ended up coming to just a hair under 55 inches from tip to 'pommel', which isn't game accurate but i wanted to be able to sheath it on my back and not have it drag on the ground (i am short).

Thats pretty much it for progress for now. Im working on figuring out what i want to do with the chestplate since with a 3d printed one, i doubt id be able to sit down. im also waiting on a sewing machine to arrive so i can start working on the burlap cape and hood. I should have another small update this weekend or shortly after once im done with the sword! (sans paint)
