Destiny pepakura files (download within)

I modeled this for my daughter designed to print on my 3d printer. if anyone is interested I will throw the .obj file up here.

How would I go about scaling it? I printed it off normal scale and it appears big for only being a mask, and I feel that if I scale it any smaller some of the pieces would be very difficult to work with. Any advice?

EDIT: Im not sure how big this is supposed to be, so Im not sure if its the right scale or not

I was wondering if anybody has ANY information regarding this Titan armor, as for the name, type, renders, or even any renders, this is my plan to do before the release of Destiny, and my time is running out. titan.jpg
 
Hey guys I need some help.. destiny.jpgdestiny.jpgi modeled this helmet and i dont really know how to make it pepakura ready. is there something you know of i could use in cinema 4d or zbrush to make this unfoldable in pepakura? or is there a good link to a tutorial you know of? thanks in advance for the advice.

That looks beautiful! Love the design of that Warlock helmet.
Zbrush (if I remember correctly) makes models that are waaaaay too high poly for pepakura. The number of faces needs to be reduced first, which is something that can be done somewhere in C4D, although it's been a while since I've used it and can't remember where that command is. Once the number of faces is reduced quite a bit, you can export it as an obj and open it in Pepakura to check for open edges and see how the model works with it.

I've got a good Warlock file you might be able to alter to get that particular model. You can check out my build in my signature line and I've attached a link below, but it's plenty easy to add whatever you want. Especially since we didn't have any information on what the back of the helmet looked like when we first started building it. Jico designed it and I finished it up. A very well designed pepp file that may meet what you're looking for.

Thank you! your helmet looks awesome :p the issue im running into is i scale the helmet down, then i put the helmet in c4d and try to edit the topology to make it more simple. but no matter what i do the helmet is very choppy in pepakura. the blue lines go all sorts of directions and its terrible. im new to pep so maybe ill start off with something more simple till i get the hang of it lol. but thank you guys, i appreciate the input and help!
 
I can not do 3D modeling to save my life, but if someone does the Hunter Vanguard Legendary Ghost Angle set I would be most grateful. I'm not sure how o handle the monocular eye though?

Hello i am new to this whole forum thing ,and i was wondering if their is a possibility of someone having or making a suros regime or a hardlight pep file or some titan armor. does any one know of these existing or know how to make them any information would be much appreciated.

I don't know about those first 2 things, but the guy above you has a link in his sig to a collection of Destiny files, including some Titan bits.
 
Is it possible to take the 3D models off of the 3D viewer in this website: http://www.destinydb.com/items/144553853-mask-of-the-third-man#1.MMhvlFF8
and somehow import them to Pepakura?

Unfortunately it doesn't appear to have any results yet. However I've recently found this application 123Dapp free from Autocad that apparently can take pictures and turn them into 3D models, so taking a lot of screengrabs from DestinyDB and rebuilding the models should be possible.
 
I've been working on the Legendary Astrolord Helmet for a while. Hit a wall on my own so I want to tackle a new part of my Titan Armor. I decided to try out Pepakura for the other parts to see if it helps. My issue right now is working on the Chest Armor. I got the files from destinystlgenerator.com Once I open the files in Pepakura they look great. Issue is when I go to unfold the chest piece. 28,000 + pieces. so it basically is taking each 'triangle' and making it a separate piece. Any ideas on how to adjust or alter so i can get actual foldable pieces? Thanks
