The printing is the easy part. Getting the files right and ready is not. If I had the time to learn the software and how to do it all I would buy one. Do you print in solid or have you been using honeycomb for the inside?
It would be awesome if you did a quick write up of how you turn the pep files into printable parts. You don't need to go into details of the program or anything. Thanks buddy.
Probably shared before but,
How big is your printing table, or what type and model do you own? I take it you use windows, does the software also work on macs?

#1 I used the Files from King Rahl ( in first post ), they are as far as I am aware not pep based.
Helmet is files from big red fish. both are on thingverse...
#2 I use 10 perms and most of the time its 100% infill. ( some box shaped parts I use 0% and the perms are at 10)
# 3 I can do that ! . I just need time . Ive got a deadline of Friday
#4 the software I use is OSX and Winders compatible. its called 123D by Autodesk...
I run a Mac pro tower with both OSX and Windows7 Pro.

#5My printer is a flashforge Dreamer. with a 9,6,6'' bed.




Noble 10 ...... I don't remember where I got my file from . so I can't sell works based on it .
I searched thingaverse and It does not show up ..

I dont wanna step on some ones boot..

I could not find the m6b on thingiverse either. I wish there was more helmets and armor to choose from.

thanks! . Ive got some more paint to throw on it to make it pop! .
gotta make donut look fabulous.....
Ive figured out the strapping for the legs . they are sewn up..
meanwhile Ive been enjoying the torso

Ive been trying it with my Heads up VR helmet .
It ( the armor) really makes long gameplay more challenging in some ways with fatigue ect .
The VR headset makes close quarters combat harder but sniping is sooo much better.
( a note the helmet is just a display. it does not control the game in any way.

The final thigh is cureing with glass. .

I like the knee caps. Donut spends a lot of time on them you know cleaning and stuff
I feel as if your missing something for your center chest piece.

part of it cracked . Its on my to-do fixer list.

I did a full on alpha test today .

My findings are that the back of the legs need more glass.
When you sit. there is allmost no way to Not put pressure on the thighs. Its gonna get 3 more layers of glass on the edge and 2 more over all .
The belt needs to be hidden better. Ill just get some better strapping.
I need to mount the ab plate and the butt plate to the suit . My guess is the ab plate will cover the belt area just about right.

The King rahl Ffile has no Cod . do I draft one? or just omit it ....

shoulders are a problem ...... I cant slip them on! . range of motion is really bad .
I have not used the callk to make grippers for the elastic strap that holds them in place.

Shoe covers. I can re print them but I may wanna get some better shoes to mod. VELCRO!!
dood its soo hard to tie laces in this thing.

Weapons mount and the mount for the grenade to stick to my head.

aside from a few minor issues. the leg suspension is working really really well!
granted it takes a good 20 min to slip this on

Fixed the butt plate to a back support belt ! . OMG my back feels soo much better and it hides the gut well

I need to attach the front ab plate some how and then also work on the boot covers.

Sholders are in a " meh" state. Ive got a few ideas just not enough drive to attack them .. Ive got a few weeks till the con so Iam recovering .

PIcked up some shoes with velcro! YAY!

So its back to CAD land to make the print file match the shoes .

I saw this on another build and it could work for you. On the other build. He did a pep work of the thighs and for the inside he cut out the top and did some simple foam and glued it in(he also painted it as well). It might help to do this on your arms so it would be more comfortable and more angle of use. Just a thought without seeing the actual issue.

Oh its not a comfort isssue. I just sense crackin going on .


Ive fixed the sholder issues ! . just need some cure time .
I used silicone clalk in to make * gripper elastic*
no more sliding !
I am off to the woods to take a few pics

first boot cover rear is done . time to split and print the toes !

I didn't include the cod piece because in my opinion, it's not part of the "solid" armor. Cod pieces are not a universal piece to share. Whatever body suit or padding you use, I would recommend using something like spraying PlastiDip directly on or gluing thin foam to your suit.

I could not find the m6b on thingiverse either. I wish there was more helmets and armor to choose from.

If you are referring to the pistol Peterthethinker is holding in his profile picture. That is the M6H from Halo 4, not the M6B. The laser sight on the bottom of the M6B is more angled. Monkeyfuj made a pep file for it http://www.405th.com/weapons/download-955-halo-4-m6h-pistol.html

M6H does sound right. I don't think its from here. Ive yet to try any files from here on the library .

I remember it was a OBJ file and was not in parts and it was from some sketchy file share site.

That said. I may try to make the one you linked to .... Ive yet to crank my printer to high rez mode ,
It would be cool to see what it can do fit wise .

Mine looks just like pic #2 the first CAD view . I suspect its a Raw asset.

You said to use plastidip on the under suit..... how well does that do with Lycra based stuff.

I don't have any experience with Lycra. Like all testing, spray some in a spot that you can cover up or won't be noticed first.

I just picked up some Really cool textured Lycra at JoAnns today ! . it has the bump effect and its Sooo breathable !

So its body suit time
