Interesting. I doubt it has much application for using as a prop visor though, I bet if you modified it, you ruin whatever system they use to dim it. It seems to be some type of lcd layer on the inside. A current goes over the visor, which causes the liquid crystal to contract, blocking light. If you cut it, or try to reshape it, you'd probably break the circuit. Cool idea though, you can get windows that do this too.
