How about molded rubber? I used it for the knees on my Clone Trooper armor, and it flexes with my knee when I move my legs to walk.

Thank you!

Yeah, I've experience the ins and outs of wearing armored costumes. So, I know how to make it more or less functional for functionabilty? I guess that's how you could put it

grr, this is hard.
I was trying my hardest to NOT work with fiber glass again.
*d'oh*
I don't want to get clogged up before I even begin.

yes, quite, motha truckin' fiber glass.
as if it's not frustrating enough to do a MC costume.

Meh, i'ma hold off on fiber glass until i've run out of options. I also need something semi-easy to work with/use.

you should try Wonderflex looks like a piece of plastic, but it becomes soft and malleable when heated. It can be shaped by hand or over a mold while hot. Once it cools down it hardens retaining the shape. It can be re-heated and reshaped as many times as necessary, or worked in sections. It glues to itself if enough pressure is applied. It can be cut with scissors and finished with paint, gluing fabric on top, or any other method. It can be heated with a heat gun, a microwave oven, or dipped in hot water.

Sounds like the Jumping around in a female elite costume sounds like it can possibly happen now that Link and drake have told you alternative materials.

The Only Drawback with wonderflex is the price >.<, but its hella good if you got ze fundz!!!! :D Go with molded rubber, it can be found in almost any major Hobby store ;)

No...you are, you just got bitten by a Brown Recluse. That automatically makes you awesome ;-)

Wonderflex is expensive for what you get in my opinion....

Adrenie, you're awesome too.

Plus, I shortened your name. Woot.

So... molded rubber then?
I was kinda thinking of using some plastic mesh that was mentioned earlier and giving it a few supports. It'd make the alien's skin give alittle if someone were to touch it.

The molded rubber bends with my knee Christi, so it definetly has a give to it : )

I'll edit this post, I just took a video from my phone so I'll try to see if I can email it to myself and then I'll post it here.

It should give you an idea.... ;-)
