I find that white glue "elmer" works the best in time cost and user friendliness.
but there was one place on this forum that said not to use it.
That something bad would happen.

i was wondering what this bad thing is, and what makes it happen.
is it getting to hot from the risen, or would it eat away at the glue.

i ask because i am thinking that i could do something to the armor after it's all made to making glassing safe.

i used elmer school glue. works 100% i like it way better then hott glue. school glue, one it is safe, two you have time to work with it but it still dries fast.

but #1 thing:!!! Be patient!!!

i completely agree with Jedistumpy. i have built numerous pep pieces and fiberglassed many of them and not a single one has not worked for me. Maybe the problem is that it can be messy? i just use my fingers to spread it thinly across the flaps and use an old rag to wipe the excess on. Good luck!

I couldn't agree more. It's a fantastic glue, but it may not be good if you have no or little patience.

In my opinion it's also a better choice than superglue. They always have safety issues like glueing your eye instantly, gluing fingers together, and my personal favorite: the burning off of your skin... (like mine did :cautious: )

I apply it my making a glob of glue on a piece of paper, then using a toothpick to dip and spread on the tabs. It's takes time, but it 's accurate and a bit cleaner.

first one with card stock, i tried one with normal paper. didn't come out right. so it was trashed. and thanks.

i have the fiberglass but have ben holding off on using it because of the weather and fiberglassing is a pain, i would want to do more then one piece at a time

i have plans for a full suit and the HD one look to be the way to go. was thinking of trying the smooth helm to see how that one comes together. but that's up in the air.

next one's are Boot Hand and shoulders. just because there smaller and i can get them in HD. i will be starting on one this weekend.

Helmet looks good.

I only use elmers glue now. I tried hot glue and rubber cement, but I didn't like either of them. Elmers glue is cheap, strong, and won't hurt you. It also has a longer setting time, which I take as a good thing. It allows you to make sure the tab is lined up good.
