Feet first into the hell of foam ODST build (first try)

So I researched a bit bought the supplies and just jumped into building. After scrapping my first attempt at the kneecap I learned a bit and did a rough build. Im looking for advice, opinions, anything to help out my first build.

I also do foam building, and I think you will benefit a lot from making (or buying) a mitre jig. I built one from scrap wood that lets me cut at 45 or 90 degrees. It makes assembling pieces much easier, and makes for cleaner edges. Here is a pic:

Thanks for the idea thats great, And stormwatcher I got a lighter, turned it on heated the eva foam and bent it, curved perfectly.
