Fiberglass cloth

fiberglass goes on the inside. its used for structural integrity. it doesnt conform to hard corners and curves very well, so if you used it on the outside the detailing would to about 20%. Use Bondo Body Filler for detaling the outside and use the fiberglass on the inside.

Once you have put resin on the outside (and only resin on the outside) and allowed it to cure
you glass the inside

spread a little resin inside the helmet and lay sections of cloth, you want pieces that are as large as possible, yet easy to handle (this depends on personal abilities). As you lay each section you want to saturate the section before moving on to the next, you can and should overlap the cloth a bit (1/2 inch or so). once you have a layer of cloth covering the inside of the helmet, at the very least let it rest a little before continuing.

do the same with mat (if you wish)

finish with another layer of cloth; now, remember which way you laid the cloth? Lay this layer diagonal to the first (first layer like this: +, this layer like this: X)

If you read the other posts you will find that resin is very friendly, if you let it it will stick to you, your clothes, and anything else within range. Oh, and don't use good brushes, resin will not clean out of them.

BTW There is a post near the top of the page that has directions also, it may answer some questions; if have more, try a search; if you can't find any answers, feel free to ask
